PLEASE GO TO NEW THREAD #6
Thank you ladies.
Thanks for the links June. Seems this morning there are many reasons to smile. Here are 4 links to the most hilarious photos and gifs sent to me by Tamara. Cats having a bad day

More morning silliness from Jeff
Great to see Rocky doing so well now and loved the polar bear cubs discovering the world for the first time. Here is Jeff's silly morning triple, all intelligent animal ones this morning
Hikers come to aid of an entangled eagle
Youtube is being bad. I'll come back later and try again to listen to the videos. Thanks ladies for them and the pictures.
You Tube is not working for me today again. Have had no problems for days and now it is either not working at all or just playing a few seconds and then stopping. No problems with other videos though. I'm so mad that that beautiful adolescent stag could not have been moved to a sanctuary instead of being killed, he was only doing what he was taught to do by humans. Here is this mornings silly triple video from Jeff.
June, thank you for the marvelous lion cubs pictures. They are so precious. Dad is being so good to his offspring! What a wonderful set of pics!
Sue, thank you for the links to all those wonderful, peaceful pics that - like the lion cubs - made me smile and relax. So many amazing pics of our world's animals and birds. I did take a screenshot of all those tiny birds squashed up against one another. I'll post it somewhere later.
June, that was a wonderful experience with momma polar bear and her triplets. It really is incredible how we can get inside a bear's den and witness such amazing things. She has three little ones to feed. I don't know how they do it. So precious!
Due to the awful photos and videos of animal cruelty lately I went looking at some local photos and here is what I found. Spent 2+ hours this morning looking at them and all are wonderful and happy ones. Here are my 3 favourites, sorry only know how to post the links. In a Zoo, but still my favourite animal...
Have been wondering about this one, then decided it was ready for installation when the old one was removed, never for a moment thought Canadians still used outside ones!
Here is the link to the whole page with 1,000s of happy photos Canadians have posted so far this year, it was like a meditation looking at them all. I just scrolled down the page, if you want a larger look at any just right click on them and click to open in a new tab, or just click on the first and then use the arrow key on the right of the photo to go to the next one. There are stunning photos of butterflies and moths too. Enjoy.

June, thank you for the update on the elk video. I'm so disheartened that a gorgeous animal as that elk was had to be put down. Even though the park people had known of the aggresive behavior of the elk, I wonder if the video brought forth his quicker demise because it was brought to the attention of the public.
It's so sad that people, even though they're warned not to, continue to feed wild animals. I guess they think it's fun....a story to bring home....without realizing the damage they've done to the animal itself.
Hi Coralie - it's good to see you! Yes, the elk certainly could have caused the man serious injury.
June, thanks for the update news. It is terribly sad to know this outstanding animal was put down. I can understand the fact that if people had thought him cute when he approached them and then fed him, that he was looking for a hand out from this fellow, or anyone in those cars. Educating people is great, but in the meantime how about some big signs, "DON'T FEED THE WILDLIFE ...because we may have to destroy them afterwards."
We are having bear and deer coming out of the bush and into populated places more and more as people leave their garbage where the animals can rumage through them, and because their habitats don't seem to be providing the food they used to rely on. Some get relocated but many are shot. A mother bear and her two cubs were shot a while ago and lots of people were really angry. I think that was posted. It's not that elks fault; that makes it all the more sad.
Wendy, thanks for the cute pic. I wonder if that is what really happened or is it photoshopped? In any case, it's really cute.
Update on Lynns post

Update: I've been in contact with the photographer in the above video and we would both like to issue a statement regarding the news of the National Park Service's decision to put the elk down.
I am deeply saddened by the fate of the elk. It has certainly pulled a black cloud over this whirlwind "viral video" experience.
I spoke to the reporter who broke the story and she assured me the decision was based on a pattern of aggressive behavior that began prior to the incident documented in this video. The behavior was the result of visitors feeding the elk and conditioning them to seek food from humans. This video only serves as an example of the elk's dangerous behavior, not an impetus to it.
Again, it brings me great sadness to learn of this beautiful animal's demise and the unfortunate circumstances surrounding it.
I'm looking into a destination for proceeds from this video to help the NPS educate visitors on the dangers and consequences of feeding wildlife.
I also want to be clear that James, the photographer, was not complicit in a behavior that led to the elk's demise, but rather was made an example of the result of such behaviors. The elk approached him from behind, likely looking for food as he was conditioned to do.
Statement from James (the photographer):
I love and respect animals and that's why I photograph them and don't hunt them. I am deeply hurt by the loss of such a beautiful creature that in its own way bonded with me. I looked forward to watching him grow to a mature bull as the years passed.
I'm truly heartbroken to know he is gone.
READY FOR THE AHHHHHHH>>>>>>>
Cheryl, I too enjoyed the video about the interaction of these two, and know very well, from seeing many other videos, as to how wild animals and humans, 99% of the time, don't mix
I was a little scared for him, when the Elk was stomping his hooves a couple of times, as these are very lethal weapons
I just had one other thought as to why he stuck around for awhile too, in that because the photographer was sitting on the ground, was the ElK trying to encourage him to get on his feet, as they might do with one of their herd, that may be down and can't get up for some reason?
What a delightful bunch of videos! Ahhhhhh.... it does bring one's energy level up to watch these. I have to go back and watch more of those parrots. Thank you all so much for the good time I had.
I have never ever seen an Elk interact with a human this way! He could have done a great deal of damage not only with the antlers but with his feet. Good thing he was young, sort of half curious, half wanting to wrestle or challenge - or maybe just play.
So I guess at some point if the Ranger hadn't of pulled up, I would have had to disengage the best I could. I've joked with my friends that at least he took me for a buck and not a cow!"
Thank you Sue.
Friday silliness from Jeff this morning
love it Lynn how are you sis and your little man?
Thank you Lynn and Mary.
what a cutie Lynn just like a big kitten
Tiger Cub and Little Boy Play at the Zoo - It's the Cutest Thing
While dressed up as a little tiger cub himself, this boy bonded with a tiny tiger at a zoo. Watching them play is such a blessing, they are both marvelous gifts from God!...
You Thought You Knew What Cute Was, But Just Watch This Hilarious Kitten Video
When a tiny kitten encountered a tennis ball for the very first time, something hilariously awesome happened. You won't be ready for how cute this is!...
Thanks Sue, Lynn, and Wendy. I never knew there were SO MANY different kinds of dolphins! Certainly great new information.
Poor Pandas. Viagra? Panda porn? What next??! On the funny side, where he was trying to mate was humorous... but on the not so funny side, Viagra may be something so foreign to their systems that it causes some genetic or other probs. I guess that's was comes with not being able to grow up with others and watching and learning.
I love that sweetie little dog on the treadmill. What a great way for them to get exercise if they can't get outside enough. Such a cutie.
hello everyone have enjoyed catching up i am now stress free + smiling
Some silliness for Friday, a smart cat, airhead human, quick learning dog
Loved the doggie video Lynn, thanks, needed a laugh this morning. Cheryl thanks for the cat video too, had not seen that one yet. Some Thursday silliness
OH WOW.... I hadn't been here for a week so I had so much to catch up on. THIS THREAD IS A REMEDY FOR WINTER BLUES! Honestly, I had such a good laugh from all the posts, and a really big AWWWWWW... for the polar bear mom and her cubs. The way she plays with them and cuddles them in her lap.
Thanks everyone for all these totally delightful videos. Such pure FUN and JOY animals bring into our lives.
Well, she's got the ball but can't get any traction to escape the dog that's probably chasing her!!

Thank you Sue.
It is Monday morning and here is a very silly triple from Jeff. My favourite are the dogs that stop fighting when they notice they are being filmed.
Jeff's Friday silliness, laugh out loud funny
This mornings triple video, all animals and all a lot of fun
Thank you Ladies.
We all need a friend like this!
June, thank you for posting that video, just wonderful. Last night I watched the last part of the three part Polar Bear Family and me on TV. So sad what is happening to our bears. Global warming will be the end of them I fear. Here is the silly video from Jeff this morning. 3 really silly videos will keep you laughing.
Some Thursday silliness, it's a chipmunk not a squirrel....
Just began catching up on one email folder and this was the first link. An overload of cuteness! Warning, if you join this site make sure not to click for too many topics as then the emails become spam, you get far too many.

Cheryl, just wish we could send a green star for a group post the quicker way too, that and to be able to return a star sent to us that quickly. I get so many that it would take more than an hour returning them all. So I do not return them any more. Just do not have that amount of free time. I make up for it by sending tons when going through the articles and group posts though, and send tons for petition signatures. It's so quick these days to do that. Glad you enjoyed all the silly links.
June, those doggies certainly have lots of fun with the door stoppers, they will never get bored with them! Here is this mornings triple video, Jeff has done it again and made me laugh out loud 1st thing.
Watch these cute puppies in epic battles with those furious door stoppers. Who will leave the battle as a winner?
Hi Sue - I went to the Facebook page and looked around... lots of fun, and yes, I can see the contest closed. But there's still lots to look at there! Oh my goodness, I had tears running down my face watching those videos - animals screaming like humans (hilarious) and the triple video, and the animals talking.... so funny! Thanks so much for the good time I had!
Got your greenstar - thank you! There's a new thing Care2 has (in some places) where you click on "send green star" and it doesn't go anywhere as it did before, but you will notice it changes to "sent green star." I wouldn't have noticed this if it hadn't been explained by a fella in another group.
Hope everyone got the stars I sent out! There seems to be some confusion as to whether or not stars are arriving these days. Here is this mornings triple video from Jeff, the third segment is my favourite...
A silly video of various animals screaming like humans.
Mooched around on the site and discovered the contest ended October 18th, so I was messaged the link after it had closed. Not surprising that happened as the end date is hidden in the Official Rules link at the very bottom of the page.
It's a contest, but they do not mention a closing date, scrolling down past the videos is this....
Okay, some really terrific cat videos have been shot and submitted. Hey, we're still laughing. And now it's up to our judges. Who will win a year's supply* of 9Lives® cat food** for their cat and a $3,000 donation to the shelter of their choice?
**To be awarded in the form of one (1) Visa® gift card.
Wow.... ladies.... there was such a mixture of emotions watching these! I was laughing at those guys in the boat and the halloween dogs and cute fox and then saying aaawwwwwwww to others, and then to those rescue dogs... it's so hard seeing the terror of these little ones....and then those crazy cats got me really going! I think I saw them all but I'm going to go back again and watch them over. I saw the count for meals go up as people watched. SUPER IDEA! There were quite a few I liked "the most" but the cat going into that big pot was a favourite.
Thanks for that wonderful link. Sue, I hope you're feeling better. And Lynn... you must have your laptop back!
WELL DONE, SISTERS. Absolutely wonderful links. I'm also going to go back and watch more of those rescues. I cannot imagine what kind of people move away and just dump their pet! They don't deserve to ever have a pet again.
IS THE FREE FOOD ONE PERMANENT OR A PROMOTION OR CONTEST?
Terrified dog is rescued
I have seen quite a few of Hope for Paws videos, they do amazing work
watch silly kitten videos to give free food to a shelter
thanks so much for sharing this Sue, what a great idea, had already seen some of the videos, but enjoyed watching again.
The more you watch, the more we give!
Videos Viewed = 25,701 = Meals Donated
incase my star to you doesnt work
In the same PM that the rescue video came in was this link to a video-off. Watch the videos, each one watched means free food for the winning shelter. My favourite was Cat Attack, what's yours? 8 videos to watch means 8 meals given, they're about 1 min 10 seconds each.
This little gem was hidden in one of my PM's that I opened this morning, watch how love can transform a terrified dog in minutes....
June, Lynn, thanks for the lovely pics and videos. Needed some cheering up this morning. After being locked out there is so much to catch up on. Here is the silly triple video from this mornings news show. The last segment is my favourite.
A real life animal angel nurses a fox back to health.
Thank you Lynn, June, Wendy and Sue! What a great way to start the day.
I've never seen a grown bear play like that! The play on words pics are so well thought out. The kitten in the walker learning to use her back legs is so amazing and wonderful. The cats in the dogs' beds was my favourite... there is such a traditional cat-attitude to the dogs when they first try to expel the cats, and the sharing of the beds at the end is so cute and funny.
It's no wonder pets lower blood pressure. Laughing is so good for the soul as well as the body/mind.

Thank you ladies.
Been locked out of Care2 for 2 days, so spent the time catching up with 100's of emailed group posts. Not much time right now but wanted to post this mornings triple video of what Jeff saw on the internet. Was able to send stars out, at least think they were sent, hope you all got them the last 2 days.
Cats Stealing Dog Beds
Great friends, Big Bunny and baby piglet, the Bunny will keep piggy warm, love the kittens too, here is an action clip, the cats look like my mini, (long haired cat) and Jimi, the Jumping cat, you will see what I mean, so I tagged the photo like this>>>>>
MINI WATCH OUT MONSTERS ! > I JIMI WILL SAVE YOU AIYEEEEEEEEE>>>>>>>>.
Kitten can't walk but learns with a walker
I thought that was a great idea, Sue, so I've turned the thread - obviously! Thanks for the ideas. When the videos are just a link the thread does last longer. And that's a great link to those videos.
I think I will have to arm-wrestle Sue for the little kitty of Lynn's! I have to say I think that is the cutest baby kitty I have ever seen - and all of them are cute. She is totally preoccupied playing only with what God gave her. I had to take a screenshot so we could see her again.
You're welcome, Ingrid and Lynn.
Thanks Wendy for that awesome parrot/cat play. Doesn't it sound like the parrot is saying, "Meow"? The parrot really wants to play with the cat and sure isn't afraid or backing down. So cute!
June, the little blind cat is wonderful! He really doesn't know life any different and just uses his sense of smell and hearing. So cute playing with the boy even though he can't see. I am so happy that people gave him a chance to live, love, and explore this world.
Murdock The Blind Cat
Lynn, me want kitty! What a cutie and it is so relaxing to watch, thanks for posting it. This mornings triple video, that Jeff is to blame for how quickly these threads get full. The first segment is a hoot! Maybe if the thread was reversed to start with it would load only the most recent posts? Not sure how that works but remember when I had dial up it took about 5 minutes for a thread with embedded videos to load for me. Boy just love the speed of DSL, mind you I also have a fast computer now too.
Cheryl, try deleting your browser cache and then try to load the thread that didn't load, it may help. Sometimes increasing the size of your cache can help too. All the videos, moving gif's etc. take up a lot of space in the cache. If that does not work ask Zen in Need Help in Care2, she usually knows what is to blame. I have all the posts emailed to me and watch the links in email so don't usually watch them in the thread itself.
Thank you so much for the new Animal Video thread Cheryl. Also to Sue and Lynn for the videos.
Cheryl, dear sis, thank you so much for opening a new thread. We needed one and Ingrid (bless her heart) even suggested that we have one. Sorry your computer won't let you load #4. Seems like a lot of people are either having Care2 problems or just plain computer problems.
Sue, I think it's a little bit of both....tiny pig and big bunny!
Here's an adorable video of a very tiny kitten grooming herself. So cute....
Very Cute Kitten Grooming By Herself - Meow Aum!
I'm making new thread as my computer won't let me load the #4 thread - then it freezes! I'll post the last three entries from #4.
If anyone hasn't seen that last postings from #4, go and see them. So so so so funny!
A new thread for you to post your animal videos. Thread #3 - and 4 - got a bit too long. It's still open for you to enjoy, though, along with the previous threads.
