Yet another exciting discovery
update for the tomb being excavated at Amphipolis
Love to learn more about our history here in North America. Thankfully with the consent of the First Nations community for a change.
I would like to thank you all for the pics and links stunning
I feel like a kid today looking at all the dinosaur fossil discoveries.
Here's another duckbill article
This one spent most of it's time in water
Here's the photo
Sheesh, I can't believe it's been two weeks since I've been here!
Sue, thanks for all those marvelous links. I enjoyed them so much. You're right -- that dinosaur monster really is a nightmare! It is certainly a far cry from those nice vegetarian dinosaurs we all would like to pet! I love how those kids were so excited and curious. It took me back to when my son was that age and loved dinosaurs. Very popular with the kids. Finding that shipwreck must have been those underwater archaeologists dream. It's pretty astounding to be able to get pictures for all to see, like the Titanic, etc. So sad so many men were lost in those ships. Love the lakes - that pink one is very pretty but not sure I'd dip my toes in it. I love the Greek tomb too. I could stare at archaelogical finds for hours - honestly!
Rose, the Indigenous art is awesome. I was in Australia for a year when I was 20 and loved everything about the places we went. Truly beautiful, and the Aboriginal people fascinated me, and still do. Wow... 30,000 year old art and what it says! I think they are very spiritual and know things most of us will never understand or be able to do.
Thanks to you both for these very enjoyable links!
(This picture is the real Black Forest in Germany, which really looks like it is the home of 'other' wonderful Beings)
Do children just imagine many of the things they tell us about or play with, or do they actually experience what grown-ups can no longer see?
Read about and see the wonderful mosaic floor uncovered in the ancient Greek tomb currently being unearthed.
More info for the total lunar eclipse tonight, Oct. 7th, for those of us in North America. We have thick cloud cover here today so probably won't get to see it.
Love the magic and mystery surrounding these lakes
Watch the skies tonight or tomorrow morning for the lunar eclipse blood moon. Hope I don't miss this one.
Posting quickly before the storm hits........
Just love it when mysteries are solved. Here is a video of a chat with one of the divers
Lovely pictures Cheryl, we have Autumn colours and Summer temperatures here, very strange. The last week has been the warmest of the year so far. Warmer than summer! Here is another wonderful video to watch of a long extinct creature. This one scares me more than the others.
YOW... that sea monster (extinct) is the stuff nightmares are made of... at least mine! Very, very scary. The mating ritual of those two big crocs is incredibly gentle considering their killing tactics. Fascinating. Those green alien balls... are they a message to us? Hmmmm. Thanks, Sue!
Time for the Autumn Queen to take her place...
Another article about long forgotten creatures that roamed our planet
Thanks for the full moon photos, can't believe I forgot to look for the moon last night. That makes all of the perigee moons I've managed to miss this year! Was watching my programs online as the power out of Friday night partially killed my last VCR and it now refuses to tape anything, yet will play the tapes I've already recorded. It also will not give sound on some channels, wrong sound on others, and has a few more quirks. Oh well, just have to start saving for another one. Here is another partially solved mystery, an article with 4 video links.
Val, love full moon fairy - perfect for what's happening tonight! The fairies are out celebrating Harvest Moon!
Sue, that purple fairy goes well with that purple door, which is very intriguing! I am drawn towards it! And that DREADNOUGHTUS... bigger than 7 bull elephants?!! Yet it was a vegetarian, which might have made it rather peaceful - maybe!
How did it hold its head up with all that weight and size? It looks like a combination of several animals. And it's only 75 - 77 million years old -- I mean, wow! I love these discoveries. Also the tomb in Greece... I love archaeological finds. This is going to be fascinating. I'll have to get back into Facebook as I haven't been there for awhile. The man-eating holds scare the heck out of me because there's no way of getting away from it when it happens so suddenly.
Lynn, such a lovely warm star bath! I would enjoy that.
Wendy, beautiful Harvest Moon video and picture. Pretty spectacular that we are all going to see it at one time or another. Love it!
Here's a link from one of Sue's links above on a lovely full moon rising with tiny weeny people getting smaller as the moon gets bigger. It's a peaceful 'watch'.
TINY PEOPLE AGAINST A GIAN MOON (rising)
Full Harvest Moon -
love hugs x wendy k x & kelly cats xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The full Harvest Moon rises tonight (Sept. 8) in a stunning lunar sight for stargazers, but if bad weather clouds out your view, you can still catch the view live online.
Each year, the full moon that rises closest to the September equinox is given the Harvest Moon title. Tonight's full moon happens to have that distinction. The Slooh Community Observatory, an online skywatching organization, will host a live webcast about the Harvest Moon tonight starting at 9:30 p.m. EDT (0130 Sept. 9 GMT) on its website Slooh.com.
You can also watch the Full Harvest Moon webcast live on Space.com, courtesy of Slooh.
Here's another real life mystery. I can't wait to see what they find when the tomb is finally open.
This Facebook link has lots of links to photos of what has been uncovered so far and more info.
Wow, what a voice, that child has a wonderful future ahead of her Lynn. Thanks for posting the video.
To me, this is magical!
A mystery that remains a mystery....
While another mystery is finally solved
Imagine standing on a smiling moon while a flurry of stars cascade around you. Don't you feel the magic?
Love the magical pictures, moon dreams and fairies, what could be better?
Some new info about the creatures who used to call planet earth home, I so wish time travel was possible it would be truly magical to see them.......
I want to go through this door too....
Lynn, I think he is a friend of the secret forest dwellers. Note that he is carrying a suitcase/backpack or something. It is probably filled with something the fairies either need or will just be delighted to have. They will take very good care of him as he will return again and again, bringing supplies and treats! Lovely pic.
And the girl and the moon having a conversation -- it's done telepathically, of course. What a kind looking moon! She may be saying her prayers, or talking about her wishes and dreams.
Sue, I love the wonderful stairway to heaven. All the pets and people we have loved and lost are on that other side. But it's going to be quite a while before any of us Chatter Boxers get to see them. Just knowing they are there is comforting.
I hope I haven't posted the top one before. Sometimes I forget to mark them after I post them. But hey, it doesn't hurt to see it again.
I wonder what this girl is saying to the moon. The moon seems to be very interested in the story. We'll never know but we can certainly use our imagination!
I added the man walking into the magical gloomy forest and then "blurred" him a bit to make him fit in. Is he walking into the gloom, never to be seen again? Use your imagination!
Wendy, that little castle with that wonderful little door is so precious! I think I would like to be tiny and live there. It looks quite protected and safe, and probably well guarded! I love it! Here's another wee fairy cottage.
I want to make signs like these for my backyard. They would make the weeds look like they are supposed to be there for cover. lol
Black Forest, Germany
Also Black Forest (gorgeous!)
I feel calm and peaceful just looking at this picture. I would love to walk through or lay down in there.
Wendy, was it the Black Forest where that film was made? I remember taking copies of the pics you or someone posted quite some time ago on another thread where you said where that was filmed.
Sue, that is SO PRECIOUS!! It just goes to show that you don't want to mess with the unknown (or known) even if you don't believe it - or 'them'!! I LOVE IT.
I just need someone to tuck me in and read to me.
Lovely little friendly, affectionate dragons.
Another heavenly occurrence~~~
Wow, Sue -- that tusk is incredible! Imagine the son finding one, probably the other one worn by that mammoth, 20 years later! I have an urge to go look at mammoth pictures now! It's always great to hear of a new discovery somewhere. Shows us that we haven't solved all the mysteries yet.
That crack is frightening. It really stands out as to size when you see the cars on either side of it. It's like the world is splitting in two. Too scary to think about.
You've never seen a falling star? Well, you just gave me the idea to look it up on YouTube and here it is... we get to see it afterall, second-hand maybe, but not bad -- it must have been so beautiful to see, but unfortunately so many of us don't have the right location to see it at its best.
Yet another real life mystery.....
Sorry you missed the meteor shower too Cheryl, I do hope to see one before I die, seems I'm the only person who has never seen a shooting star. Wonder how that happened? Here is a very unusual finding, I think some magic must have been involved.
I had to split the poor TREE OF LIFE in half!
Too bad you didn't get to see the moon, Sue. But it sounds like your heart was there! We had two weeks of sweltering weather with clear sky every night - UNTIL... the meteor shower was supposed to happen. It clouded over and we couldn't see anything. Then... blessed rain! That at least felt good.
Glad some people got to see the supermoon. I went around the corners and hoped to see it on the way home around 9 pm. It's a long walk to find some open space around here and the best view is on the way home. But it was not high enough to see yet. Then forgot to look again until I was snuggled up ready to sleep and too tired to get up and dressed and go outside. Missed the meteor shower too as we had cloud cover every night after.
That moon was gorgeous - thanks for the mind game and the moon phase thing - good to know that they can't really read your mind - interesting how they do that though. NOW hour minds should be rollin'
This post was modified from its original form on 13 Aug, 12:59
That was so much fun, Lynn.... and I tried to fool the CYBER mindreader and it still guessed my number! AWESOME! I'm so glad you got out to see the Supermoon. Imagine, those of us who watched it were watching it together, as if we were standing there side by side (almost) looking up at it!
The timelapse photography earth trip was spectacular. It was so beautiful, and yet sometimes scary and powerful beyond belief. Thanks so much, Lynn. I really enjoyed these.
Sue, I love that very proud prancing unicorn. Just as I imagine they are!
Sorry if this one has been posted already. Looks familiar, but being the full moon I thought I'd post it anyway.
This timelapse photography of the earth from space makes you realize how small we really are.
Cheryl, I saw the super moon and it was spectacular. So big and bright! I didn't go out tonight to see if I could catch some meteor showers. Whoever made that gif did a magnificent job. I wish I knew what editor was used.
Now check this out everyone!

Those pictures are absolutely spectacular, Lynn. The Hubble telescope gives us some things to think about, like life in space and on other planets. Those pictures show how much life is swirling around out there all the time. I see figures and all sorts of shapes in them. And there are a few angels there too! Thank you for those. I haven't been in my BaBaMail for awhile because once I go in I don't come out for ages! lol
SUPER MOON IS TONIGHT (August 10th) and I think it's the comet shower starting tomorrow night, the 11th and the 12th and 13th. Hope someone gets to stay up and see something really beautiful.
(whoever made this gif did a fascinating great job of it)
Just looked again at that beautiful picture you did, Lynn. A lot of time and thought went into that. Really lovely!
That's a beautiful picture, Val -- the writing reminds me of Camelot, one of my favourite shows (the one with Vanessa Redgrave).
That's awesome information, Sue! We will definitely be on the lookout for this show! So......
On August 10th we get a SUPERMOON which is 14% closer and 30% brighter than other full moons of the year.
August 11th, 12th and 13th we get the annual Perseid meteor shower and every 133 years the huge comet that's coming this year swings through the inner solar system. (Did I say that right?) THIS SHOULD BE SPECTACULAR! Thanks, Sue.
Lovely pic Lynn. I'd definitely want a dragon if it could survive with all the dustballs around the apartment Cheryl. Still not had the energy to try to fix the vacuum yet. We are going to have a wonderful magical experience in the heavens this weekend as long as the clouds stay away. For once we are promised mostly clear skies here for Sunday night, no rain in sight until Tuesday. The video is better than the article.
Boy this thread is colourful and fun!
Sue, thanks for info re solving mystery of those horrible holes in Siberia. Wouldn't want to go walking in the dark at night around there. Argh! And watching those tribesmen is so fascinating.... about 77 tribes like that in the Amazon! I didn't think there were anywhere near that many. What devils went in there and killed so many people? And why? When people first discovered the aboriginals in Australia, they hunted them for sport! What kind of people do these things? Sickening. These poor people won't last very long with the encroachment of their land taking place. Genocide happening! I hope that organization can get busy organizing their survival.
Those little fairy figures are done by a very special artist.... can't remember his name, but I know I'll find it again. And unfortunately, yes.... probably terribly expensive. Truly artistic, and fun to even see them, though. Fires up the imagination. *atoms* WHAT A GORGEOUS PICTURE, Sue... definitely where fairies live! (and I wouldn't mind living there myself)
I just hate to start a new thread because I love looking at all these wonderful pics every time I'm here. I'm sure you ladies do the same thing. LOTS MORE PICS OUT THERE, SO BEST START A NEW THREAD SOON!
Who would like to have their very own cute little dragon? ~~~~~
Seems the cause of the Siberian holes has been discovered.
Cheryl, love the fairy pictures.
Sue, thanks for all that information and the picture of the fairy home.
The perfect home for Cheryl's fairies
This post was modified from its original form on 02 Aug, 16:19
Cheryl, just love those fairies, what an accomplishment to make them. Bet they cost a fortune though. My take on the holes in Siberia is just the permafrost melting and the gas exploding. Don't think it is really any more mysterious than that. I remember reading that houses built on permafrost are sliding off their foundations and need propping up to prevent them from collapsing in those northern areas too. That story was from a few years ago. The planet is warming and ground that is usually always frozen is now melting. Couldn't find the original article, here are two informative links though.
A few photos of buildings in Russia that have damage or are collapsing
Some previously undiscovered people sought help after they were attacked, an article and video.
Yep, I would still find dinosaurs scary even if they did have feathers! Thanks, Sue. I love reading about new discoveries because it shows there still are things on this planet yet to be discovered.
The craters are really scary to me (the dark, deep holes mystery) ... and I sure don't agree with someone's possible theory they are man-made, unless they are from Russian missle practice. This poor old planet is trying to tell us something. Very interesting, and please keep us posted if you find more info.
Look at these wonderful little figures a super artist makes (I can't remember his name). I wish I could afford to buy some of them and disappear into their world sometimes.
This is one of my very favourites!
Plain and simple little fairy home.
More craters have appeared in Siberia, the plot thickens. Read the comments under the article, people have some really strange ideas.
Love all the pictures girls. Thank you.
All caught up in this thread, just wish I could send more stars. The flowers are amazing watching them bloom and that artist that uses the gold leaf is very talented. Love all the magical pictures. Here is a little something about dinosaurs and proof that some had feathers. Would they seem as scary if they had beautiful coloured feathers?
I sure needed to catch up on this thread too!
Wendy, I'm not keen on moving dolls either! lol And since that movie about an evil clown came out many years ago, I have joined all the little children who now hate clowns! Beautiful pictures! I'm fascinated by the one where she is looking into a very special book (book of wisdom?) and she's holding a star. What do you think the story is? Love it!
Val, gorgeous pics! I'd like to find out where that particular shimmering effect can be found. Dreamy and I want to be there.
Lynn, what a mysterious cacti. It certainly is a "live in the moment" (and seconds) phenomena and teaches people to get off their cell phones because they are missing out of so many things around them! How's that for a random explanation? I got a cactus last Christmas which didn't bloom until late Spring. It bloomed for about five weeks - it was simply gorgeous! It looked like a different flower from every angle. The time lapse flowers are amazing. Just goes to show that nothing in Nature is standing still. It's moving and growing every moment. Stunning!
Nice studio that man has, and awesome creations. He found that crucifix for a reason and a purpose, I believe.
Sue, that Siberian crater is like out of a sci-fi movie. It really gives me the creeps yet fascinates me at the same time. I can't see anything "normal" about it. But I think they changed their minds later.... not so normal. Thoroughly mystifying!
I think this must be somewhere in Heaven.
I thought it was cool too Sue - and wow - still not a lot of answers on that hole (crater) and a lake at the bottom!
Val, love that photo. Here is an update on the mysterious crater in Siberia.
Thanks for the flip Lynn and wonderful video.
Turning the thread to make it easier for viewing.
Beautiful graphics, Val and Wendy! Thanks for the posts.
Time lapse photography. The magical beauty of nature. Sit back and enjoy.
Wow - Lynn - these are gorgeous - didn't know that about cactus but not surprised since I have a few and their blooms don't last very long
Did you know there are cacti that only flower once a year and that the rare occurrence can last a mere 24 hours? In fact, certain species like Selenicereus grandiflorus only flower once a year at night and wither shortly thereafter.
moving dolls scare me
there is some great stuff here, am catching up slowly, reading Sue's links, great vid's Lynn, I have seen that tree walk way before, I think it's in Dublin, but not positive, great posts everyone, love hugs x wendy kx & kelly cats xxxxxxxxxxx
Val and Brenda - glad you like the little fairy doll. I could get soooooo involved with making a fairy garden if I could afford all those little dolls and houses. The surroundings would be much easier to do.
Here's a little snail home.... I don't know whether he's real or not, but he sure is cute.
Lynn, I love the mermaids. What beautiful swimmers they are. Can you imagine yourself as a little girl peering in and watching them swim around, hair flowing about! Absolutely magical.
Lynn, liked the robot video.
Cheryl, love that cute doll.
Val, lovely graphic.
Oh my, such awesome pictures, ladies! Thank you!
Sue, the article on exorcisms and the vatican is really interesting. It's been such a long guarded secret, but it has been taking place for a very long time. Unfortunately, there are the cult kind of people who use it as a side show. As the Pope said, it must be disguished between the need for an exorcism or the need for mental health treatment. Fair enough, I say!
Interesting month of AUGUST, Lynn. We all need to look at this as not only being unique, but very lucky, so think L-U-C-K-Y and H-A-P-P-Y!
WELL LET ME SAY ABOUT THE CHUCKY DOLL in the last video..... SCARY! Honestly, it is such an intricate and fascinating creation, but just plain creepy! Thanks Lynn. Never seen anything like it.
These are little fairies and forest dolls that someone makes. Apparently, there are a lot of people who love and collect them. They make little gardens (I would love to do that!) with fairy homes and plants/bushes.... and so on. I'm trying to find more about them and if they make unicorns too! So cute, don't you think?
Love the picture Val.
Sue, great posts and beautiful picture.
Wow - those are all great Sue - busy today so will try and be back tomorrow,
This was taken somewhere in Ireland.
Some links to show how researchers are uncovering mysteries from our distant past. Interesting reading, they are discovering that the past is not what they had thought and are updating us on their findings.
Just love learning all those facts about the past. Wish time travel was possible and we were able to go back and see all the interesting wildlife that used to call planet earth home.
Sue thank you for the article, interesting.
Mary, love the pictures.
Val, beautiful picture.
Not sure this belongs here, but it did seem like the most obvious thread to post it in. It is just an article giving the full story.
Magical! I love them ladies.
Thank you for doing a new thread, Lynn. I will check back on the previous one as I've probably missed a few postings.
WOWEEE.... those are just gorgeous creations! Absolutely love them! Good job. I am scrutinizing them carefully to try to guess how you did them!
I don't think this girl is a fairy, but she definitely looks like she wants to be a part of the forest magic, wouldn't you say!
Time for a new thread of our wonderful topic. We all seem to love this!
And then there is the unseen (usually) world of Gnomes and Faeries, mysterious creatures newly discovered that managed to stay out of the prying eyes of humans for centuries, even longer.
All pics welcome here... i.e. misty days, healing herbs, shamans, etc. along with all of the above.
I grew up with many Gnomes in our garden and they and their cousins have a special place in my heart.
When I came across this pixie and her lovely horse (maybe it's a Unicorn!) I couldn't stop looking at her and her confident little stride, (somewhat the same as her horse!).
DO YOU BELIEVE? Stoke the fires of your imagination!
Link to thread #2 for those of you who haven't seen it all:
