Runningfox, I watched this twice as it is the most moving rendition of Amazing Grace I have ever heard. The beauty and poise of this young woman singing from her heart brought tears to my eyes. The beating of the drum gave the song a living heartbeat. It was extremely spiritual for me and actually gave me goose bumps.
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. I know I will come back to this again and again.
This is a song I often heard growing up as a Ministers son it brings back fond memories of growing up in the Great Smoky Mountains..I still get a lump in my throat when I hear it regardless of what language it is sung in but it has special meaning to me when I hear it sung in Cherokee or German..
Native American - Amazing Grace (in cherokee)

P.S. I think I should listen to it every night just before bed. Besides, it's fun to make the snowman and turn on the lights, etc.
Jo ~ I just listened to the beautiful Christmas link above and I feel so mellow I think I need to go back to bed. Really... I am relaxed for the first time in many days. Thanks again for posting it.
Iris! You are making wedding and flower girl dresses? I admire that so much! Just the fact that you have taken that on means that everything will turn out perfect! Now... we are all going to want to see these, so take some pics please please!
Jo!! The above links are absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed them both so very much! You are as gorgeous as ever (inside and out). I sat and listened to the music on the Christmas link with a smile on my face. (Unusual for this time of the morn!)
Sorry Jo Jo ~ call me a, I leave videos to the hubby. I have enough trouble getting animation in single pictures to do what I want. (or maybe like my hubby says I'm a perfectionist)((if it isn't exactly like I see it with my minds eye, I'm not happy with it))
Maybe that's why hubby is nervous about me agreeing to make my daughter's wedding dress, and the dresses for the 2 flower girls......
There are so many soul soothers stemming from this link. Sorry if they are repeated (a few seem familiar) but I just have to get them down here where they can be found again.
Here's the link to The Daily Motivator archive! I'm going to subscribe and hopefully get one every day! What a way to start the day!
Thanks, Iris. I really like that. I listened to some of the others that let you continue on "the journey" from that link, like "A Rose is a Rose" and one that Roma Downey (from 'Touched By an Angel') did. I feel all mellow and... either relaxed or weak (can't decide which one). Having a coffee right now and am contemplating going back to bed for a couple of hours. I got up too early this morning. *yawn*
Or... I might surf for awhile. Haven't done a good surf for quite some time.
Somtimes I forget that we have this beautiful 'room' to come to. Good thing for me that you don't forget!
Iris, you'll never know just how much I needed this tonight. It almost has a Buddhist wisdom tone. How I enjoyed just feeling those minutes as I watched this, without thinking of a "time" event I had to perform... or anything else I had to think about. Such absolute beauty.
I watched Planet Earth the other night because there was supposed to be something about elephants travelling hundreds of miles to get to water. But it was the "time" of nature (an annual event) when all the animals travelled miles and miles to get to the water, which was just beginning to come from somewhere else. (Hard to explain). There were pics taken from airplanes, etc., and sunsets and sunrises that one could not deny there was a Creator; there was an order to things. The animals instinctively knew what they had to do and where to go. And all this was happening every years and I didn't know about it!!
Thank you, my friend. Again, you have chosen just the right inspiration I needed.
I'm so glad you picked this one out... for me to read tonight! I'm experiencing a bit of a personal crisis right now; that's why I haven't been to the group for a number of days. This little "Dash" movie sends me a good, meaningful message. There are so many little inspirational movies here that I haven't seen yet. I must bring a nice comfy big chair in here with some and let these inspirations wash over me.
Jo ~ that's what I do sometimes, too! (cute swing... goes good to the music!)
I love the music I have been sitting here listing to it and it makes me feel so at peace..thankyou for posting!
