anonymous Suggestions to Woodrow February 17, 2006 10:02 PM

After carefully considering the options for this group, I would recommend the following changes for the sake of clarity:
  1. Change the name of the group to "The Beauty of Islamic Art"
  2. Change the category of the group to "Society and Culture"
  3. Add a statement to the groups opening specifying that non-Muslims are perfectly welcome to join the group and that no efforts from any religious group to make converts are either expected or tolerated.
I will make these changes now to see how they look. If you as group owner either approve disapprove, you may inform me later.

I think that is a good idea.  In addition to having a very nice "take charge" kind of an ability.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]
anonymous Perhaps a different title? February 18, 2006 5:03 AM

Suggesstion:  The Beauty of Islamic Life

Acutally, on second thought, I liked the original title Woodrow came up with better.  If only in its simplicity.

Anyone else with input on this subject matter?

the title of the group should not have been changed, without seeking Woodrow's permission.  He is the owner, and knows what he wants the scope in focus of the group to be, and develop to become.  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

The change is only provisional, and of course Woodrow has the final say on what changes will remain. Of course, if he wants to be consulted in the future regarding any further changes so he himself can either approve them or make them himself, he may tell me so at any time.

Calm N. No problem.

In setting up the host's preferences I have given all Hosts full preferences to make desiscions with out needing to ask or be accountable to any one. The only preference I have retained solely for myself is to be able to remove the preferences. Which would only happen if someone acted out of malace towards any one. I can not perceive that happening with any host here.

Each person that is a host is someone I feel will keep the integrity of the group stable.

Of course there is the opportunity for error, however, errors are correctable. I do not want any host to feel that they are limited in making choices. Besides, we can try anything within reason, then if we don't like it, we can always turn it back.

This is not any one person's group. Groups always belong to the members. Hosts can only try to keep the group safe and interesting. But, it is the input of the members that determine if it will last.

Woodrow, now that this group has gotten off to a great start, I feel like I can step down as a host and resume my focus on the other group I am owner of. If you still want five hosts here, then I would like to nominate this lady to take my place:

Aisha has received 127 new, 1959 total stars from Care2 membersAisha has been awarded 9 butterflies for taking action at Care2 Aisha R.

Please contact her and see if she is interested.

Dale my friend, you have been a great benefit and all your help is appreciated. I do understand about your wanting to step down and I knew from the time you started this day would come. You are correct about Aisha, excellent nomination. I also have another young lady who is interested in being a host. Very difficult decision time. However I think I have a workable solution I am in the process of setting up another group that is sort of a mirror image except it is dealing with the religion and the art is secondary. I believe I will be able to use both young ladies as hosts, if they desire.  [ send green star]
anonymous I think Dale makes a lovely February 21, 2006 1:21 PM

A'isha has accepted my offer to become the newest host of this group.
Time for me to leave.
