What really adds to the beauty is there is no instruement accompament, it is all pure vocal.

The last one by Yusuf Islam(former British pop singer Cat Stevens) is really nice when you know his history.

The following is the Arabic transliteration and the English translation of what you hear:

Allahu Akbar

Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah
I bear witness that there is no god except the One God (Allah).

I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.

Allah(c.c.) inviting all of our to salvation with Azan.After Azan we are going to mosque or at anywhere praying to Allah(c.c.).but the anywhere must be clean.

an addition at first all of them we takes abdest.Namely we cleans with water our hands,oral,nose,face,arms,only wet 1/4 of head,only wet ear and back of the neck,foots.And we keeps in clean our clothes.

Allah(c.c.) havn't  resemblance to any one or anything.Allah (c.c.)have endless mercy full and endless compassion.When we are at prayer after azan, Allah(c.c.) admit our to presence at prayer.

It is not just the physical cleansing that is required before prayer, but also the cleansing of the mind of 'unpure' thoughts. The whole process of wudu is a cleansing and can bring you to a meditative and spiritual state, perfect preparation for prayer!

 Do you have a brief translation of the chant/prayer on the first Adhan? Wow!It sent shivers throughout.It is the most beautiful voice.   (kind of reminds me of the old traditional Japanese Noh vocals.,but this Adhan is prayer...........!!!)

Have to remember that the various Callers have trained their voices to utilise the tones differently. The Adhan words are the same world wide. It is only the pronunciation that changes.

mashallah, this thread is sooo beautiful....i dream of day when i wake up, go thru my day, night, and hear adhan being called all over city, town streets...hope to take trip this winter with my girls inshallah, just to hear this most beautiful call to prayer which brings tears- i cannot exlain -to my eyes as i enter most Holy Salat as humble servant to Allah....
