Snow? unfortunately, we don't have that here in the Philippines.. ...i love to see snow, too. I love Christmas carols, Decors, all about Christmas...traditions...like SImbang Gabi (Midnight Mass which begins 16th of Dec and ends the 24th)...it's a happy gathering. and that's few more weeks to go!!!
Monday once again and the weather is fine here. The weather news said there is still three more typhoons that will hit the country before the year ends...how sad
anyway, hope everyone will have a good day smile a lot!
everywhere? It certainly is here. We were hoping for snow--we think a nice snow day would be great tomorrow! But so far, no go, just rain. I'm getting read to put some supper in the oven, since it's nice and cool, I hope everyone has a great week this week!

Good morning one and all. After a couple of weeks of problems with the internet and cell-phone problems I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is all good and keep it that way. Well our winter comes and then it vanishes and now it is 5 c and the other day it was 8 below zero. Have a beautiful day and I'll catch you all soon. Ivy and Yvonne, Ruth and Morris thank you for the beautiful comments and sorry for not replying....Big hugs......Jenny M
Feel like visiting the crown of India oh god let it snow let it snow. The Best season is coming... Hope this December be full of joy, colors & happiness
There has been snow fall in the higher reaches of Himalayas. Thats why Delhi is a bit chill today. The woolens are out. You can see people in colourful woolens on the streets and some even with jerkins, particularly in the morning. This is an indication that Christmas is not far behind. Christmas brings in the memories of cakes to non Christian people in India like me. I love to enjoy Christmas cake and carol in the evening. Christmas is celebrated with great pomp and show all over India.
Yep, Pat, Christmas is around the corner and best to stay home when the weather is like yours Ruth to make some Christmas decors...i would be starting mine to buy some materials for Christmas decors.
Sunny today and best to stay outside to find some bargains. Good for malling, too.
The week for me run smoothly and i will have my last work day tom to get another two days off...whew, that would give me much time to go malling and find some cutie decors.
My day has been very good. I finally made the Fall wreath for my front door. For 20 years I've tried to keep a seasonal wreath on my door, and it has been naked for over 2 months. I will leave it up until I replace it with a Christmas wreath.
Moments ago I received a phone call from Prathi, which didn't surprise me because I left her a message about a week ago. But she was not calling from California as I presumed, but from the apartment complex next to mine! Her husband left the job in CA, and took a contract job back at the same company where he worked before. I am happy to have an Indian friend back living on my street!
GOOD MORNING ....dear friends, our weather today is the same as last week...so it is the best to stay at home, under the blanket with a hot teabut ....my work is waiting see you later
It's kinda been a long day November 04, 2009 9:02 PM
today in South Central Kansas. Mr. AJ is a crew chief of linemen for the city. This morning they had to re-route a service for a grocery store, and the job began at 2:30AM! He got home for some coffee at 7:30AM, then went back to work until 5 this evening. I volunteer at the food bank on M,W, and some Fridays, so I went in this morning. The director and boardmembers do a big community Thanksgiving dinner every year, so the planning is in full gear for that! Our weather has been very quiet, and is supposed to be quiet until Monday night, though if there is rain, it's not supposed to be severe .
I love this thread--I love to read what everybody does!
What's my day like? Stumble out of bed to grab , do the school run, now off to the Card Aid shop where I'm volunteering half-day until Christmas. The rest of the day is (as yet) unscripted... Wherever you are, have a wonderful day everybody and a very Happy Birthday to you Ruth
Yummy! I'd like this one pls Sanky, and some of the mango pls Ruth. Here is another dessert to share with everyone... Wattleseed Ice Cream with Homemade Macadamia Nut Biscuits
Ruth, that apple cake looks delicious... thank you, I'll have a slice with coffee now, for morning tea. Australians don't usually celebrate Halloween either, butHAPPY HALLOWEENfor those who do.
A GROUP HUG FOR ALL AT G.I.! I added a couple of drops of eucalyptus in with my washing at the w'end...my clothes have a hint of this nice, fresh scent. I probably smell like a koala, teehee.

Ruth we are ever so grateful to you for providing us with such wonderful eatables together with the hot and cool drinks. But no one can beat your dancing!! It was sooooooooo sweet and hilarious I say. I don't know where you get such funny pictures. Thank you for sharing them with us though!
Che good morning to you my dear. Thanks for your lovely response and comments my dear! Glad you are seeing the sun now and that it is smiling upon you and your lovely country!
Jen D, AJR, Meenaji and Patricia thanks for being so active and for your wonderful comments my dear. We appreciate it very much!
Plaxmi it was good of you to share your problems that you faced with regard to your son's accident. May the guardian angel protect you and your loved ones always!
Jennifer you are a gem I say! I just loved the picture you posted here. It is so apt - hehehe! What with the lovely treat that we get from all our members here! Hahaha just kidding ok?
Jai that Hindi version of the song sung by a Chinese is simply superb!
Yvonne I'm sure you must be enjoying the things that our creative members are capable of. Thanks to our dear members of GI. You all are geniuses!
Friends can I serve you some cool and refreshing drink? Hope you'll like it though!
Plaxmi I'm so sorry to hear about your son's accident. But thanks be to God and praise the Lord your son is safe and sound. May God protect and bless you and your family always!
Wow my friends! I was so delighted to see all the laughter and happiness in the GI camping site that Sanky had so meticulously improvised for us. Thanks Pinky boy!
Hey Sanky I actually liked the pink winter wear of yours. Looks soooooo cozy and warm! Your wonderful fishing spree in such beautiful surroundings with those yummy yummy dishes added to the bargain certainly made our day. To top it all you served such lovely drinks both hot and cool.
Oh WOW! Pinky Sanky I must say you really look so cuteeeee in this picture. Have a look...
Hello everyone!!! We have a fine day...and i feel good about it.
Hi, Plaxmi, good to hear that your son is fine after that accident...maybe he have to be very careful next time and listen to you because it is for his own good, too. Mother's are very protective and they do not want their child wandering outside especially at night right, Plaxmi?
well, friends, hope you are enjoying a good day to your part of the world.
Plaxmi, sorry to know about the happening but relieved that no harm has been done. There cant be any explanation for such incidents. Such incidents only prove that there exists a supreme entity that always comes to our rescue. Have a great time.
Yvonne what type of dirnks you will prefer- hard or soft?
Ceci, its good to hear that you are out and about. Though I still feel that you are afraid of the whole ordeal, dont worry and know that we pray for you and your dear ones to be safe.
Sanky, I loved each and every dish you have planted here. The drink is missing....hmmm wonder if some lassi would do the trick!
Sorry to hear about your son Plaxmi, hope you have both recovered by now. I personally dont put it down to figures but to fate. Sometimes in life we have break like these to slow us down and ponder on life's fortunes God has given us.
Hello Just to share with you ! October 27, 2009 12:01 AM
Hello everyone !
I want to share with you what I went thru last night.
I stay along with my husband,son & father-in-law .
on 25th my husband went out of country for official tour for 2 days.
last night at 11.45 pm my son asked me to accompany him for a walk but I refused. I rather stopped him by going out of house but as usual he did not listen to me & went out.
I was feeling disturbed & panic .At around 12.10 he gave me a ring saying that he met with an accident .I just asked him how he was & was relaxed when he told he was Fine.
Should I relate this to astrology or numerology because a passenger who was witness to the accident said it was a miracle nothing happened to your son the car was in such a speed & suddenly a tyre burst out & the car was upside down .God saved my child .The person sitting besides was number 8 the house near the accident was no 8. Can any one relate this or should I just take it as an incident.
How nice of you, Sanky...these were all good food you treat for us...thank you very much!
Hello, Meena, Jenny, Yvonne, Ruth, Jai, Ivy and everyone out there. Anothe sunny day for us! yes! after that typhoon, i always wanted to see the sun....coz it gives me a panic when we have storms...until that Ondoy came out and washed our homes. but we have to live and cope with it... amazing how things went smoothly for me the past few days though i have to undo washing clothes again to remove the bad smell...and still cleaning up...but its good.
anyway, have a pleasant day, friends and take care always!
Hi one and all. I guess this picture tells it all. We are having some real crappy weather with rain and heavy winds. There should have been lots of snow by now especially it being All souls this weekend. Anyways I just dropped by to wish you all a good day and keep smiling......Big hugs.
It is very wet in Seattle Washington (North West USA) and quite cold..we are in our rainy fall weather..rain, wind and storms...the beautiful trees laced with yellow, red. orange and deep dark red..as we entering towards winter! I hate cold but being in India in December it will be wonderful for 5 weeks..looking forward to be with my family along with my two sons to attend my niece's wedding in New Delhi...right now I have to dress in layers to keep warm! love and peace to all..

As usual the connection here is playing up and I dont see the Chinese singing... there was an Italian group who sang the Jai Ho and will post it here the moment I find it
Such a cosmopolitan space this is becoming! German beer, a Chinese guy singing a Bollywood song, food from all over the world... What a treat we've had!
IT'S A GOOD TIME TO GO TO THE WISHING WELL AND MAKE A WISH. (I wonder what wishes will be asked for!?)
Hey people count me in, I got back safe and sound after a tremendous adventure. Got stuck at Frankfurt airport which was not so bad, but I to pay EUR.68/- cause I missed the Lufthansa flight. Besides that I bot some telephone cards which apparently dont work at the airport...lol
Anyway, I enjoyed the shopping there and guess what I bot Ruth, UNDERBERG! ya, I found the most age old drink which am proud to say that I will be trying something soon...anyone care for a drink?
Now, I leave the graphic work to all you computer geniuses...
Yes Jennifer it is a good place for a get together. Fishing is very interesting pastime. I hope to catch many fish. Oh you will bring Biryani that would be simply wow. Does any one know the meaning of the word Biryani? I will bring Indian sweets and chocolates. And of course will help cooking the fish that I will catch. Ruth the stuff you will bring is my favorite. I dont know for others. But surely it will be great.
Hi! Ivy, Yvonne, Sanky, Che, Patricia, AJR, Jai and Jenny. Thanks Sanky for the invite and since it seems that you've put up the tent in a sunny place I do hope there is good fishing waters around. No worries, I'll bring a whole backpack with smiles and laughter as well as some good biriyani and pickles. The only thing that we have to do is get some good fish and prepare them over an open fire and enjoy.........Come on all let's have some fun......brrrrrrrr.....it's getting colder every day.
Yes Jenny there are plenty of room in my tent forall... Ivy, Yvonne, Che,Patricia, AJR, Jai, Jennifer and anyone else who need warmth. But you all must bring with you good stuff and smile with you to enjoy togetherness. Thanks for pink seat.
It's about bedtime, here. I have chamomile, with clover honey from a keeper who sells a bit at the store here in town. I have enough to share, but am getting very sleeeeeeepppppyyyy....
I've been keeping everyone in my thoughts with weather and things in general, and I always am hoping for the very best for all!
Hi Ruth, Ivy, Sanky, Che, Yvonne, Patricia and Jenny D and all the people who are gonna visit us today. Hope all of you are doing well and the storms have passed for you Che. You are all fantastic people with all your beautiful and of course the delicious postings over here.
Autumn is coming on fast and soon it will be snow. Right now it is just Jack frost who visits us daily. Autumn is a busy a busy time for us at the office. It is now we can meet the other people and compare how the summer has been for us regards tourists. This year it has been good with lots of the Swedes holidaying in Sweden.
Thanks Sanky...the tent looks soooo cosy! with a stunning backdrop of the northern lights, it is picture perfect. Ruth, those cakes look almost too good to eat! Green tea is very healthy. I hope there's enough for us all. Che, thanks for supplying more tea. I hope you didn't have any more storms - stay safe my friend! There is plenty of room in Sanky's tent for us all... Ivy, Yvonne, Patricia, AJR, Jai, Jennifer, and anyone else feeling adventurous. However, the pink seat is reserved for Sanky, who's making a striking statement in winter wear this year. Very attractive, I must say! Back in Sydney Australia - warm weather today. My tests results came back with good news...no cancer or tumours! Just arthritis, fibromyalgia and shoulder tendonitis, but I can manage these so I'm fine and dandy.
Hello, Ivy! Thank for your prayers and concern for me, friend...and of course to our other friends here, who try to reach me to check what's been happening here... thank you, you know who you are.
Good day for us here in Manila, though another storm is in the country and RP braces for it...i hope it weakens and leave the country soon.
can i join you for that yummy food you have Ruth? our day is like a good day...though the weather forecast is that we are going to have another storm this coming days...i hope is a false forecast...
anyway, its nighttime here and i hope everyone had a good day and for those who will starting their new day...a good day to all of you.
The messages and pictures here are delightful. Thank you everyone. I have some Turkish green beans and eggplant for lunch today. I'm going to rest my hands from typing now, and warm them around a nice hot cup of tea... would anyone like to join me? I'm freezing cold today but that's mostly because I've been ill. Outside is sunny but the wind is chilly.

Gosh oh my gosh! thank you Patricia and hey Jai, I'm fine, have a few days till I'm back in Lebanon. The weather grew really cold on me and I guess Patricia, the leaves will change colour for sure. Was in New Jersey and New York this weekend and loved it cause I did some Indian cooking for the folks there and were surprised at the quick dish I showed them with vegetables.
Hi to all friends on GL ..! these past days was really borring without check out care2 once i've never felt this before well, honestly missed you all friends here.. but finally got connection...

I have just a few days left till I go back to Lebanon. Ofcourse, I blame it on the global warming, wonder what our leaders are doing about it!

The weather is very pleasent in your part of the world but over here Jack Frost visited us a week ago and last night we had snow, snow and more snow but because it is still above zero during the day time it melts. They say that the snow has to fall and melt 3 times before it really gets cold and nice and stays without melting away. Off for our annual lunch and dinner with our summer personal. Enjoy your day everybody.....
we have some drizzles last night and that only made me sleep well with a cooler weather. Now, it's sunny day again. Am at work and ate lunch awhile ago, and now sipping some brewed coffee...i love the smell and taste of coffee, Aj.
just like you...am wishing everyone to have a good day there and happy as always.
Here in Kansas, USA, it's cooler, and a cold front is coming in. So, it'll be rainy for a few days. Some of the rain during the day tomorrow will be storms, but they're not supposed to be so very bad.
In the morning, we'll all get up, and I'll take our boy to school and then go work at the food bank until 11 AM. I work in the back in a room called "Addie's Room," named after the oldest person working there--Addie, who's 86 but gets up every morning and goes in at 7:30 AM! She's fun and funny, and I love her. Sometimes we package soaps, or sugar, but now and then, she grinds coffee beans, then we put the coffee into smaller containers to give away. I don't drink coffee myself, but that room smells really good when we do that!
I hope everyone gets nice smells for their Mondays!
Good to hear from you, Yvonne and i like kitesurfing, Ruth!
Sunny this morning but rained this afternoon...fickle weather we have today. It's past 7 pm here and am still at the office...almost finish with my work and thought of checking you out, friends...i am having coffee and had some bread and sausage here. nice late merienda!
Its been wonderful in Virginia, Fairfax today, sunny and a slight breeze! Have to say that we almost bought a car for my son today but we found that there are better deals all the time after you think you have got the one of your dreams. Its been a week and I have been waiting to share this news with you.
Well, mine here in the Philippines is a good sunny day...It's lunchtime here and i had pineapple for lunch and veges and chicken...around me here is all working people...i am at the office and just checking you...no problem since we are allowed to have an hour to rest after lunch..

Namaskar! What's Your Day Like? September 16, 2009 6:03 PM
Sydney's weather today is sunny. I have the back door open and I can see my garden bathed in morning light. The closest plant to me is a large pot of bountiful aloe vera, then a pot of struggling echinacea. Planted in are the self-sown pawpaw tree, a banana tree my father planted, and a very willful wisteria which is having an argument with the bougainvillea on the garage roof. Finally, I can see the neighbour's frangipanni tree, which hasn't woken up to spring yet. Let's hear about YOUR day- the sights, sounds, smells, texture!
