Offenders get the kid glove treatment in my country, and that is wrong wrong wrong!!
They are classed as "special catorgory" prisoner, and segregated from the other inmates...AND kept at tax payers expence.
Aghhhhhh...this gets me SOOOOOooo irate and I'd better shut up before I get deleted from the group.

Who do they think are going to support their cause? October 23, 2007 7:14 AM

Thank you for sending this info, it is always good to get to know the opposition. I went to the site and read a good deal of their talking points. What I can not understand is how they expect to get support for their cause outside of the group of offenders? Are there sensibly people in society sympothetic to molestors and sex offenders? Do they really think they will get a politician to stand up and say, "we are being too tough on sex offenders, we are being too tough on crime." Not to mention the obvious support from our end of the cause challenging them, it is easy for people to support our organizations against them with or without having been sexually abused. They will barely be able to get the offenders they are supporting to join, the offender will just be drawing more unwanted public attention to themselves with their support. One of their biggests complaints is their feeling that the laws are too harsh, taking away their basic rights, and for too long. Let them not forget the pain they have caused is lasting a lifetime with the abused. To me that is worse than murder where that victim no longer has to deal with the pain. We are much tougher on the murderer than the sex offender for less overall pain to the victim. Where is the logic in this?
