Nutrition Research: What You Should Knowby Jack Norris, RD

Introduction
Those Who Live By the Sword...Live By the Sword
The wide range of nutrition claims these days all have some sort of theory to back them up. In this article I discuss what studies provide concrete evidence for a theory. As vegetarians, when we base our claims on concrete evidence, we can prevent others from exaggerating against us using flawed logic. Truth is important, ultimately on our side, and I believe that if more vegetarians had a sophisticated understanding of nutrition, vegetarian advocacy could improve significantly.

Staying Healthy on Plant-Based Diets

you know what drives me crazy? i am vegetarian and heard so many meat eaters put down vegetarian eating. most meat eaters eat very unhealthy. the average normal meat eaters meal constists of meat, and a starch. meat and potatoes as it is often said. very few meat eaters eat healthy. being a vegetarian all we do is cut out the animal flesh. it is easy and uncomplicated to eat vegetalbes, fruits , beans, rice and lentils, the things most meat eaters dont eat. it is even eaiser now with all the meat alternatives on the market. the problem is that so many people are brainwashed to believe eating meat is normal and acceptable that not enough resturanats and speacially fast food joints put out veg alternative foods. if more veggie burgers, chicken patties and other veg alternatives were available in resturants and fast food chains i believe alot more people would choice them over meat.
