family in lithuanian is šeima, first letter š is pronounced like 'sh' in word shoe.

brother - brolis

sister - sesė or sesuo

mother - motina or mama

father - tėtis, tėvas

grandparents - seneliai

grandmother - senelė, močiutė

grantfather - senelis

aunt - teta

uncle - dėdė

english word cousin fits for boys and girls too, but in lithuanian boy cousin is pusbrolis, girl cousin is pusseserė ( two letters 'ss' is pronounced like one)

letter 'č' is pronounced like first sound in word chicken

letter 'ė'  is like 'e' but it is much more hard pronounced. I realy don't know how to explain, you have to hear it.

Veda, I was over joyed at seeing the Lithuanian. It was my Birth Language, My mother and Grand parents were from Vilnius. I just remembered Lithuania is Lietuva

I have not spoken or heard Lithuanian since I was about 5 years old. Remember very few words. It was great to see some words I knew so well as a Child.

Farsi has different words for aunts, uncles, cousins, etc, depending on whether it's the father's or mother's side.

"aa" stands for the low a ("aw") in Farsi.
