I wonder where Sapphire, Jill and Kathryn are? Maybe they'll stop in when they're not busy with the holidays. Ladies, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas if I don't 'see' you before then.
I'm going to start a new Chat thread and I'll include a link to this one. I'll also close this one but you can still come back and read the messages if you don't use the link.

Good afternoon (YIKES! afternoon already?) Lily, Lee, Agnes and Pam. So good to see the 'gang' back together.
Agnes, what a cute graphic of you! I love the way the Merry Christmas is so colorful and twinkly.
Pam! Good to see you my friend and of course I just had to snag the adorable squirrel graphic. I hope you don't mind if I post it on Facebook. I have lots of squirrel loving friends.
Lee, what have you been up to? Same old, same old? Next spring me and my mom were talking about visiting the mountains in Tennessee again. I'd like to visit an Indian Reservation that I think is in North Carolina..not far from Sevierville, TN. Maybe Dollywood, too but I'm not sure how far that is.
Lily, what a sweet duck graphic! I am so sorry you won't have any visitors for Christmas or your birthday. I hate to see anyone alone on either of those holidays. How nice that you got some gifts. We must have been posting at the same time as I just saw your precious fox with the Santa hat on. Is that a recent photo or from before? I miss the fox and Baby and the other one.
Fullmoon I love your Santa with the snow falling on him. See ya in the other groups!
Well I gotta run for now. See ya later.

Hi Pam, Lily, and Agnes,
Pam, I love that little squirrel getting his Christmas mail. So cute.
Agnes, I love the Christmas graphics you're posting and sending. So lovely and such good thoughts.
Lily, I remember you were your mother's Christmas gift. I usually don't even know when it's my birthday on the day. I don't really have any reason to note the day's date on any day come to think of it.
Lee

good morning, this time next week it will be Christmas morning.
Guess it's going to be much the same as this weekend for me as no one is coming over.
My other sister in law cant get over before either so
I have her present here now until after Xmas.
Oh well it's soon over anyway.
I have some presents to open what my brother in law and his wife brought me last week.
Seems I always spend my birthday on my own too these days.

Hi Lily,
I'm glad you said something. I looked for it and there it was. Sometimes that message list zips by too fast for me. That is the cutest card I've seen on Care2! The animals lighting a tree with a fox-powered generator and then getting together in the tree to "sing" a Christmas wish. It's adorable.
It's lovely that you made a Christmas area for your brother. Something festive to look at always helps the outlook, doesn't it?
Lee
I went to my brother's yesterday and the weather was dry but cold.
Lee as I have said in the other group he has got your card! and said thanks.
It only took 5 days!! good really from all that way.
The journey wasn't bad and I actually got a seat straight away coming back.Makes a change!!!!
It was very cold though waiting on one platform as that station is outside not on the tube like the others.
And it was about 15 minutes or more waiting so I was glad when it arrived.
I put a tiny Xmas tree on the shelf with his Xmas cards so it looks a bit Christmassy for him.
Where's my mind? Vicky, I thought I answered your question, but I didn't!
Wing clipping must be done in a very careful and precise way. One false move and the bird can be horribly injured and so can the human doing the clipping. Can't wear gloves while clipping wings (unfortunately).
Jill, beautiful Christmas graphic!
Well hello everybody. I am learning a bit more each day on how to use my laptop. The computer isn't hard its the Windows 7. Soooo much different. Sigh.
Lee, I hope your hand is doing better; do you wear gloves when you clip Dudley's wings?
Sapphire, I hope Care2 starts behaving when you post. Some times it can be such a PAIN!!!
Agnes, I love your dancer with the 'fro'. Is that you? Very cute.
Lily, I hope the weather is nice when you visit your brother and that your trip is a safe one.
Well I am tired as it's midnight so I will close for now. Night ladies.

Hope that soon clears up Lee as you have enough trouble with your hands as it is.
It is colder here today, I hope we are not going to get the snow here.
Yesterday wasn't too bad after all, even had a bit of sun.It rained a little while I was in the hairdressers but stopped before I left thank goodness.
I hope it doesn't get too bad this week as I want to visit my brother as it wil be the last time before Xmas.
It is so miserable travelling when the weather is bad and of course now it is dark earlier so it is when I travel back home.
Although mostly I am on the trains but have to wait for a bus first when i leave his place.
Hi friends,
Oh Lee something else? naughty parrot,I hope he isn't in the habit of doing that.
Is he in a cage or does he have a parrot stand or something? shouldn't do that to you anyway as you are his'mum' lol
My maurice used to peck me if I tried to hold him.
they can really hurt cant they?
My in laws came and it took them 4 hours to get here!!! as the traffic was bad, but only 2 and a half going home.
My sister in law wasn't too bad, looks a bit peaky but that is to be expected.
Scars healing alright but she mustn't wash her hair they told her.Luckily they didn't have to shave her head.
She is on steroids so her face is a little fatter at the moment.
i hope those rats dont touch them when I put them out.
I bought a new plant online a gardenia,it is very bushy and has some buds too.
I am waiting for a jasmine one now but I wont put it in the garden like the other one.
One they had to open because it had to go in my fridge.
The cheeses will have to go in the freezer anyway as I would never be able to eat all those at once.
They say the winds will be back Tuesday,I hope not as I have an appointment at the hairdressers.
Dont want to be blown away.
Hi Lee, Lily, Sapphire and Fullmoon! It is quite chilly right now and I'm getting ready to go put on my flannels.
Sapphire, I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble posting in Care2; especially in this group. It seems I cannot post in Care2 with my laptop. Weird and I must try and figure it out. What we usually do (if we think of it) is after a long post we copy it just in case we lose it. That happens so many times and lots of times I forget to copy first. Sometimes (but I'm not sure if this is your case) if you don't see it post right away it might later. That is called latency.
Lily, I hope your muscles feel better. How was your sister in law doing? Did you all have a nice visit?
Lee and Fullmoon, how are you all doing this weekend? Any plans? Lee I hope you can keep your hands warm.
Bye for now everybody. Hugs!
Vicky hi & thankyou I have been trying to
post & mostly can't.
Lee hi back to ya.
Everyone I've been trying to post, got about
3 to post out of 20,done long posts but then
doesn't show up when I go to check.GRRRR
not being able to post of care2,seems to be
mostly this particular group.
Wishing you all well.
Hi Lee weather has calmed down some now I think,it was up North that had most of it.
As far as I know my in laws are still coming tomorrow.~
But I went and pulled a muscle in my side today and couldn't do my shopping.
thankfully I have enough in my fridge and freezer.
Always something,I hope it goes as on Tuesday I have an appointment at the hairdressers and also supposed to be going to see my brother again one day in the week.
I must be jinxed!!!
These things always seem to take ages to go
Hi there friends,
It has turned very cold today and windy, the forecast is not very good and say gales and snow in some places on the way.
I hope not as it will stop my in laws coming on Saturday.
And if they dont make it could be after Xmas then before I see them.
I have got their presents wrapped ready.
That is the trouble when people live so far away.
well nothing surprises me there Vicky, I thought I saw 6 to start with and then after finding one dead one in my garden and next door catching two in the traps, today I saw 5!!! running around the garden.
If this was summer can you imagine the uproar when people go in the gardens more and children play out there.
It would not be safe to leave a baby in a pram out there not even for a few minutes.
my sister in law coming up on Saturday, didn't think she would want to travel so soon after her operation but I suppose she will be glad of a change.
My brother in law will probably be sharing the driving with their daughter as it is tiring driving both ways for such a long distance.
Good morning Lee, Lily, Agnes and Sapphire. Sorry I haven't been here in a couple of days but I went to stay by my friend's house. Thank you all for the condolences for Holly. Wow...so many cute graphics...I've got to work later but I'll be sure to snag a couple. lol Boy, I'm going to have to disappear more often...lots of posters when I'm gone. lol
Sapphire, so good to see you! It's so good to have new members so post away!
Lily, I called an exterminator a while back and he said rats/mice multiply pretty fast...for every couple you see there could be 80 (not sure if I believe that many though). And he said when their mates die (I think they mate for life) that the one left mate with their sons/daughters. EEKS!
Agnes and Lee I hope you both are having a good week.
Hi Lily,
I've actually read something about your robins. It's very interesting. The people of the UK have always been kind to robins it seems. The robins trust you all and are very tame compared to other songbirds. In the rest of Europe robins are very shy and stay as far away as they can from people. The fact that this has been passed down through generations of robins indicates that they have a culture. Now this doesn't surprise you and I, but some people, who think birds are dumb, think it is a remarkable thing.
Lee
It is turning much colder here now,I went out yesterday and the wind was biting!!
No Lee don't usually have snow much but it is forecast and up in Scotland they have had it already.
Got some more bait in for the rats as they are taking it quick now there isn't any other food out there.
Next door caught 2 in the trap so that's 2 less to worry about.I saw 2 in the afternoon.
Hopefully they will be gone soon and I can resume feeding out there.
There was a cute robin taking a bath about just 3 feet away from me,they are so much tamer than the other birds.
Vicky i am so sorry to hear about Holly, the hardest part about keeping animals isn't it.especially when you have had them so long.
Well Lee I guess everyone likes to keep all different kind of animals, just seems strange a duck roaming around indoors ! lol
As for rats! wouldn't want even a pet one near me!
i dont like them.
Vicky I have already stopped putting food on the bird table,it's hard but I must if I hope to get rid of the rats.
There is still food on the line feeders and hopefully the squirrels have buried plenty.
But I have seen the rats digging in the grass so I guess they smelt where they have nuts buried.
They also dug up flower bulb as I found one in the bait box.
they have taken some bait but as they are so big and strong will probably resist it.
There have been at least 6 ,maybe more running all over the garden and outside my back door too.
Although I heard one of the other flats had them inside once , but maybe their doors etc were different I dont know or they had doors open in summer or something.
It is certainly spoiling my pleasure at the moment and I certainly dont want to be out there doing garden with them roaming about.
Vicky, Lily, Lee, Kat and Dear friends who drop by
Hi Vicky..care2 didn't well...I can't come in groups
but now turn fine again...
here cold....
Hi Lee...it's terrible if that can't cure??
I found some links...can you take a look...??

Hi Lily..good there isn't snow yet..
have a happy time and take care..
Good evening Kathryn, Lee, Lily, Agnes and anyone else who stops in. We lost our dog today...Holly. Ever since Hurricane Katrina her health had started going down. She has lived with my ex these past 5 years but I would visit her ever so often. She was a sweetie although she'd gotten blind, lost her hair and had a big tumor on her foot. She is in peace and without pain now. Danny is taking it VERY HARD. Please keep him in prayer. I asked him to bring back home (here) and bury her, which he did.
Lee, that is great knowing that ducks and geese are good house pets. I had no idea. Me and Danny once had a white rat (domestic) named Snowflake and she was so pretty. Once her and my squirrel Buddy got into it and fur was flying everywhere. lol Snowflake won that round.
Lily, I am so sorry the rats are taking over. Do you think the apartment managers will tell you to quit feeding the birds and squirrels? I hope not. Are you worried that the rats will make their way into your apartment?
Agnes, how are you doing? I guess you will stop in soon. We miss you and hope you'll be back soon.
Well goodnight ladies....gotta work in the a.m. I've got to try and remember to change the calendars again.
Hello friends. I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post. Wow, time is really flying by. I pray everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was truly a blessing. It turned out really well. I have been working many long hours and have no real time for online. I had to pay a bill this morning and am taking advantage of my daughter's computer. She doesn't have school on Friday. Her final exams for this semester are this Friday. She's keeping an A average. I'm really proud of her. My baby is working and staying out a lot with her new beau. I'm really feeling old right now. LOL!!!! Anyway.... I just wanted to stop in and say howdy & let ya'll know I miss ya'll so much. Have a blessed day everyone. Love, Kathryn
Hi Lily,
Believe it or not farm ducks and geese make excellent housepets if they are raised to it from babyhood. They are as smart as a dog, but they don't chew things or smell bad. They love a bath and come when they are called. They love to snuggle and be petted and are very cheap to feed since they eat the same fruits, veggies, and grains as people (plus duck food which is $5 for 25 pounds). They are really wonderful pets. I've heard chickens are also.
Domestic rats also make very good pets, but I don't think your wild ones would. I so wish you didn't have to deal with them. I know they are ruining your enjoyment of the other animals.
Lee
Hi Lee well it seems some people like to keep some unusual house pets,I really cant see why they want some of the larger ones indoors, like large pigs.
Even the micro ones who look so cute grow to a fair size.
But to dress animals in dresses shoes and stuff is stupid and often the animal looks miserable, after all they have no choice and have to put up with it.
some even put wigs on them!!! I ask you!!!!
If they want they can have the rats I have here!
They are taking over the garden, there were about 6 or more running all over the place in broad daylight.
they were chasing each other and I saw one with an apple in it's mouth which it had found left over from my tree.
they have been taking the bait in box but they are so big and strong they probably resist it.
The man next dor contacted the estate manager about them as I think they are all around the flats.
and will probably send the council down about them,I was told they use stronger stuff.
But I had them once and it did not work and cost me plenty for nothing.
They are ruining my pleasure out there because I now cant put the food out for the birds other than on line feeders.
They climb up onto the bird table, and they were outside my back door too.
Hi Lily,
I agree about dressing up animals. Silly, silly, silly. If you should ever see a duck or goose in a dress, however, there is a purpose for it. Ducks and geese who are housepets wear something that looks like a dress which holds a piece of diaper in the right place to catch poo. Some people took great offense with me once because I posted a link to ducks in clothing. I can't object if there is a good purpose for the clothing.
Lee
there is a strike here today upsetting everyones plans.
While they are cute I dont agree with dressing them up in silly clothes or dyeing them shocking pink.
People are so stupid, I wouldn't even dream of dressing a child like they do to these animals.
Sparkly dresses and bling , they are mad as a March Hare!!! poor little dogs, no wonder so many of them look miserable
Hi Lily
That is such great news. I know even a benign tumor in such an important place as the brain can cause serious problems. But the brain is such a marvelous thing that I know she can recover completely. It just may take a while.
I'm going to send your brother a Christmas card very soon. I have a pretty one with birds on it to send. Tell him I said "hello".
Lee
And thankfully they have told her the tumour was totally benign.
It is going to take some time to recover though after all that and unfortunately she has lost some vision in her right eye and some hearing from her right ear.
She had already lost some hearing in the other ear years ago due to an infection
Luckily her job is staying open for her.
Hi Agnes, Lily, and Vicky,
Agnes, it can't be cured. It's a hereditary problem with the nerves in my wrists and ankles. I just have to put up with it.
Lily, I love the card, but I can't seem to remember to tell you that. Ever since I was a child, I have loved cornucopias. I've always been fascinated with them so the card was perfect.
Vicky, a southern girl who doesn't like cornbread? I didn't think that was possible! I love it, but I never have any since it has to be baked. All my babes just love it though so I try to see that they get someone's leftovers once in a while.
Lee
Not raining here at the moment Vicky,it's been a bit windy though but not really that cold for this time of the year.(Got it all to come I guess)
Where is Lee hope her hands and feet aren't playing up too much again.
Going to my brother 's on Thursday ,I actually got him on the phone this time, usually he is asleep and doesn't answer.
Still no news about my sister in law, been nearly a week now since she was going for results.
I will have to e-mail soon if I dont hear, makes me think it is bad news and that is why I haven't heard yet as they will be trying to come to terms with it.
I hope this is not the case though.
Hello friends! Well it poured last night (thank you Jesus) and today started out warmish. Now it is quite cool...hmmm...maybe cold and I am worried about 'my' stray dog, Angel and of course the bunnies down the street. One without a home and the others with a home not good at all. Hopefully it won't get too low in the 30's.
Lily, I love Johnny Depp...YUMMY! I hear he's an intellectual too and fights for various causes. MY kind of man!
Agnes, how ya doing this weekend? Well the remainder of this weekend? Are you having cold weather?
Lee, I'm sorry, I didn't realize the extent of the disability of your hands. I thought they just hurt you a lot. Are you able to get good meals since you can't prepare them? I hope so. I'm glad neighbors are kind and give you cornbread for the animals. Actually, I'm not a fan of cornbread...not even with turnip greens and pot liquor. Turnips...YUMMY!
Well, I'll be going...just wanted to pass by and say 'hi'.
Lee the ivy hasn't grown that much yet but it will, I had one indoors once and it grew up the wall.
But I will plant it outdoors later on when the other plant has died off.
There isn't a removable pot so have to put it in another one.
Then find something else to go in the meerkat pot.
Happy Weekend..!!Lee, Vicky, Lily
and Dear friends..who drop by
Hi Lee..that's terrible..you can't cook with your hand??
please pay attention to cure it first..??
pity you so much
Hi Vicky...welcome...you can drop there..I'll around to help find out...this week...at home...
Hi Lily..how the weather in UK?? warm?? I read you still do some garden..here started snow and too clod outside now
Hi Vicky and Lily,
Vicky, hon, I don't know where to start. I can't cook anymore. With my hands and feet like they are, it's too dangerous for me to be near knives and hot stoves. I have a couple of people who save me their leftover cornbread (not cornbread dressing) as a holiday treat for my babes. Here when people have a meal they always have cornbread with it. Don't y'all have cornbread with dinner?
Lily, can't you cut the ivy back a little 'til you can change pots? That meerkat pot is the cutest pot I've seen (except for your ducky one).
Lee
Good afternoon Lily, Agnes and Lee! Well I am still a bit tired from my 2 day trip. Getting older is heck. lol I had a wonderful time with family, friends and of course the delicious food was a blessing!
Agnes, thanks for the name of the site that you make your lovely sparkly graphics from. I might try it soon. Do you have any plans this weekend?
Lee, so you don't like holidays? They seem to get harder to prepare for each year. I'm glad your animals enjoy the cornbread dressing. Did you bake a turkey?
Lily, well the rain is setting in now, huh? If you don't get your bulbs in the ground soon you may not get the chance. I need to get a few also put in. I love them in the spring although most don't last real long.
Well I will be running for now. I hope each of you has a great weekend.
Weather is still dreary although not raining at the moment but damp.
Dont think it will be much different now anyway.
no new news right now nothing happening in the garden except for the weeds growing nicely !!!!
must get the rest of bulbs in soon!
The Meerkat plant pot 's ivy seems to be growing fairly fast, not much good for indoors really so when the primroses die off I might change the plants over in there.I dont want to put the pot outside as the weather ruins them that have those animals on pots.
Happy Thursday and Thanksgiving..HUGS..Agnes

Hi Lily..yes..maybe you're right...
a few my friends her page don't show
but they're still active on care2 daily..
Hi Jill..nice to see you this morning...
hope you're doing well around

Good morning friends,
Lee I wish it were hot here now, well not too hot anyway,
It has been raining and it is so dreary outside.
Agnes those words always show up on the images from profiles.
sometimes friends do disappear from list( I had one this week) a care2 glitch but had to go and ask to be added to her list again.Such a nusiance especially if you have a lot of friends.
You may not notice some have disappeared.
Hi Vicky, Lily, and Agnes,
Agnes I thought we were friends because you were the very first one on my friends list (because your name begins with "A") so I saw you first every time I went to it. Something probably came undone somewhere, but we've fixed it. Or maybe I dreamed it. I meant for us to be friends anyway!
Lily, I'm having the feeling that time is whizzing by again. Weren't Vicky and I just complaining about the heat? Seems like yesterday. I'm not ready for Christmas.
Vicky, I hope you have a wonderful time. Happy, happy Thanksgiving!
Lee
Have a happy Wednesday.....
for who celebrate...happy thanksgiving..
Hi Vicky..that's image sparkle..
it's my favorite now..beautiful..!!I make from real image on line
Hi Lee...I feel your hand always have pain ??
please attention to cure it...pity you..better soon
Hi Lily and Lee...almost every times I came here
I like to use my mouse show at your image
and it's said...."Add as friend"..that why...I asked you
now it show..."Send message"
yes..I thought we're friends before..and why?? like that?
I remember I added you ..
and waiting for you to accept
Vicky is on my list for many years
never mind..all fine...I'm happy now...

The birds dont seem to mind anyway, saves them taking a bath lol.
No Lee haven't heard about my sister in law yet.
she should have the results by now.
Watch out for another e-mail from me.
Good grief it is only 4 weeks to Christmas!!!!!!!
Plenty of decorations in the shops now.
Ladies I just want to let you know that I will not be here tomorrow (well maybe early) or Thursday (well maybe late) and I wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving whether you celebrate it or not. We should always be thankful for our blessings.
Agnes, what a pretty sparkly graphic. Lee, I hope your hands are feeling better and Lily, yes, like I posted I didn't realize your posts were only 3 hours apart. At first I thought one was posted one day and the other one the next.
Good night everybody!
Hi Vicky, Agnes, and Lily,
Agnes, I thought we were already friends. I thought I had sent you a friend request long ago. Ah well, all fixed now. I'm glad you said something. I like that sparkly graphic.
Lily, I like the opening blinds effect. Have you heard any more about your sister-in-law?
Vicky, is that somebody famous in your graphic? I love purple.
Lee
Well Vicky if there was a 3 hour difference with the pics they were still the same day and I dont always have more news in that short time.
Also I am on here often until the early hours just as I am at the moment.
I was watching TV earlier and ironing.
Lee those meekats seem to be everywhere lately, they are on Christmas cards, ornaments etc.
Goodevening ladies. Well I made an ooey gooey Peach Cobbler tonight and even though I did everything wrong and had to 'fix it' it turned out delicious. Whew!
Lee, yesterday had the butterfingers, too. I dropped so many things. Today was okay thank goodness. Are you doing better?
Lily, you posted only the doggy graphic in that one particular post. Look at the time....the post underneath it was posted about 3 hours before that one but I thought you wrote it the day before the puppy so that's why I said you only posted a graphic. Your meerkats are so cute and so is the fawn and dog.
Well I gotta run for now. Talk to you ladies later.
Hi Lily and Vicky,
Lily, your new planter is adorable. I love meerkats. And I really like the pic of the dog and fawn. I wish we knew the story behind it.
Vicky, I've just had one of those weekends where I drop everything I touch. I guess it all started with the oversleeping and went downhill from there.
Lee
This post was modified from its original form on 21 Nov, 8:54
Hi friends,
what do you mean Vicky only a cute graphic? I wrote quite a bit underneath that.
That was all Saturday's.
I'm not here in the daytime very often.
Put a few bulbs in today tulips round by Maurice's grave.Did n't get to do any others as my back starts as soon as I get going. It's a nusiance as I still have Irises and more tulips to go in also the Narcissis.
The robin came out when I was there.
It's so damp everywhere and looks a mess out there now the apple tree has shed it's leaves.
I dont use bleach in my bird baths either just scrub them and refill but the materials are not good on a couple and they stain brown but as long as the water is clean it does not matter.
Good evening Lee and Lily. I had to work a few hours today and for some reason I feel real tired. I guess the old gray mare ain't what she used to be. lol
Lily, your poor back must really be bothering you....only a cute puppy graphic this time. They look like my dog bear. How do you clean your bird baths? I know we're supposed to use a mixture of bleach and water but I rarely do that. Like you, I have so many animals to feed and other stuff around the house and yard to keep me busy so I just scrub them out and then fill them back up with water. Yes, please take a pic of the meerkats...I love them! I saw real ones in the Nashville Zoo. Never thought I'd see them in this country so I was thrilled. Take a picture of your primrose plant too. Actually I kind of like it getting dark early...of course when spring gets here I'll want it to stay lighter longer.
Lee, I hope you are still feeling good (well, good for you). How are the animals doing? I bet they keep you busy too.
Well ladies I gotta run. Have a blessed day or evening.
I rarely come here in the daytime Vicky.
No haven't been putting bulbs in today.
cleaned the bird baths thats all out there.
Went shopping,it gets dark early here now around 4 or after.I hate it getting dark so early, in the summer you can get so much more done.
It's very damp everywhere at the moment.
I bought a plant over the shop today, there is a primrose and ivy in there .But I bought it for the pot really,it is of two meerkats with their winter bobble caps and gloves!
I will have to take a pic of it to show you
Lee I'm sure the extra time in bed was good for you.
I was late feeding mine out there today didn't see the pigeons but the robin and squirrel were about.
ps my back still plays up on and off
This post was modified from its original form on 19 Nov, 15:23
Hi Lee, and where is our dear Lily? Not like her not to stop in. Maybe she is busy planting her bulbs. Lee, I know over sleeping throws our schedules off but it's your body telling you that you need it and the animals won't starve. Of course they may be mad. lol
Well I just wanted to make a pass and say 'hi'. I hope you are still feeling better.
Hi Agnes, Vicky, and Lily,
Agnes, I think we're already friends, aren't we? You are on my friends list. Am I not on yours?
Lily and Vicky, I'm still feeling better, but I overslept 1 1/2 hours this morning. If it's not one thing, it's another. I've been going at breakneck speed all day just trying to get all my babes taken care of!
Lee
Good evening Lily, Agnes, Kathryn, Lee, Pam and anyone else who stops in. My goodness I cannot believe it has been a week since I was here. I will be so glad to get my new laptop....hopefully the speed will be a lot faster and with all the newer stuff it won't freeze up on me. Then I'll be here more often. Since there are so many posts I will just say that I love all the graphics! Agnes, you did a great job making yours and Lily you know I love the squirrels. Kathryn the gingerbread man is adorable.
Lily, I'm sorry you still have the rat problem. What pests! I love your new haircut...very becoming. I'm glad your S.I.L. is recovering nicely from her operation and I hope she gets a good report when she goes back to the doctor for her checkup. How are you feeling; has your back pain lessened?
Kathryn, how awesome that your M.I.L. is home....I know how much she is grateful for that. Are you cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner and having guests over?
Lee, congratulations on a few days of no pain (or very little). That makes me so happy to hear that and I know how thrilled you are. I pray that you stay well.
Agnes, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. As I said, the graphics you made are lovely.
I wonder where Pam is? She usually stops in now and again.
UPDATE: Well I went back Monday or Tuesday to check on the bunnies and of course their dish was empty and filled with muck. I gave them water and cleaned their dish and put the vegetables I feed them in there along with their pellets. Also lots of hay. I had 2 separate people offer to help me with an idea but after volunteering I heard no more from them. Oh well...I guess I'll have to handle it myself. Of course the chickens were starving too and they had turned their empty water bowl over so I got them water and they hungrily drank it.
Time to head to bed....good nite ladies!

Lee I hope you continue to feel better, makes all the difference doesn't it?
When the weather is better it makes you feel that way too.
Unfortunately it is now approaching the not so good here and if the forecast is right we will have a bad winter like last year.
Lee watch out for cards marked Jacquie Lawson in your e-mails.
Hi Lily,
It's too bad we can't both have mostly pain-free days. I just feel like the old me!
I hope your back co-operates and you can get your bulbs in. I know it will be beautiful next spring.
Nothing better than apple crumble, and it's even good for you. It's also great to mark something that needs doing off your list!
Lee
Hi Lily,
I got it. I figured out what I was doing wrong. The e-mail is from the card company. I can't really read every e-mail from every sender. It would take me hours. So I've taught myself to recognize certain sender's names and read those e-mails. I don't know why I didn't think to include card companies in my "recognize" list. I just didn't think of it. Now I'll be reading your cards immediately. No more missed cards (I hope).
Your card was beautiful. I could watch that pretty butterfly flutter for hours. It was just the thing on a bad, painful day.
Lee
Hi there friends, good morning wherevere you are.
Lee check your E-Mail for a 123 geeting card.
Going for a haircut later as it is nearly down to my shoulders again.Grows quick but it's a while now since I had it done last.
a friend has it and she is learning now how to use it.
Yes Marilyn I am talking about real rats I have had 4 or more running around out there and climbing onto the bird table.
They are big too,I found a dead one at the bottom of the bird table and it was big but I have seen even a bigger one .
I hate them and they are ruining my pleasure feeding the birds.I will not be able to put food up there for a while as it is only fattening them up !!!!
I have feeders on the line but pigeons and other birds go on the table usually .
I do not regard the squirrels as pests,I like them but even those will find it hard if I cant put the food out.
I think they should keep them in longer after an operation like that.
They tell me her head is black and blue and has staples in it.She is knackered after all that.
Now they have to wait until Tuesday for the results,I only hope they have managed to remove all of it.
Hello dear friends. I saw this cute GM graphic and it reminded me of how close Thanksgiving and Christmas are. I have finally started some of my shopping for both. Will finish up the Thanksgiving shopping on Tuesday, hopefully. We are getting a free turkey from our church organization. We are planning on spending the day in Houston with my MIL. As a matter of fact, she just got back home yesterday after being in a rehab for 2 months. From what my hubby has told me, she was ecstatic about finally being at home and sleeping in her own bed.
Lily, how are you doing today. Are you talking about real rats or squirrels. Either one are pesky critters.
Agnes, how have you been. Absolutely love your graphic.
Vicky, I agree with Lily in you've done what you could for these dear little rabbits. Sounds like this guy just doesn't care at all whether they live or die. Very thoughtful of you though giving them what attention you have been able to give them.
Well, I have today off, but I really need to get some housework done if I can. I hope everyone has a great Sunday. Love ya'll, Kathryn
Lily, Lee, Vicky, Pam and all Dear Friends.
Have a relaxing Sunday..
take care well...HUGS..Agnes
but I agree myself..I'll never have pets again..pity them
image ?? you'll like this one too..colorful dragonfly...
I make from real dragonfly image to make look like painted art work with many colors on and added glitter..
Vicky you have done your best with the rabbits,I dont know why people have them in the first place if they dont want to look after them properly.
Myself I dont like to see rabbits in cages at all.
Got to have my hair cut on Tuesday it has grown so fast ,almost on my shoulders.
Dang rats playing up again saw at least 4 out there in the afternoon.I have had to get some stuff to put in the bait box, but whether they will go in there I don't know.
I did not put any food on the bird table but at least the feeders on the line are full.
The pigeons weren't there anyway as they probably got fed up waiting. It is them that make a mess knocking the food onto the ground, but the rats will climb up there anyway.
I even saw one run along the top of the fence.
Haven't heard any more so far about my sister in law but I should think she has had the operation by now.
Hi Lee and Lily. I am going to join you shortly and get some rest, too. I am so depressed about the rabbits. I went there yesterday to feed them and the chickens and the jerk had a picnic table (small wooden one) against the gate and held with a bungee cord. Well since I had food already for the bunnies I pushed the table away and went and gave them their food. But now I am not going back and I am so upset. I know they won't have food or water or their bedding changed or at least not often. I had put plastic around their cage the other night when it got in the 30's and yesterday I saw that the plastic was off the cage and on the ground. That plastic on the cage may have upset him and that's why he pushed the table against the door (a message to me to leave them alone). And maybe he didn't realize that I had been feeding them since the poor hungry bunnies probably ate everything quickly and he didn't see the food by the time he got home. Please keep the buns and chickens in prayer. If they die I will feel it is my fault that I didn't go back but I don't want to get in an argument with him and if I call animal control then he will know it is me and all his family lives around me and I fear retaliation.
Lily, that was real nice that you bought a nice cardigan for your other sister in law. That is a shame her grandchildren don't visit her. This world is so cold anymore....families are too busy or uncaring. Keep us updated on your other sister in law's operation.
Lee, how are you doing my friend? I hope better and better.
I wonder where all our members are? Hopefully they will come back soon.
Hi friends,
Havent heard yet so I dont know if Sally my sister in law has had the operation yet.I only hope all goes well.
Vicky those rabbits must be glad to have you looking in on them.Seem a lot of rabbits have a tough life.
Not much of one either shut in hutches most of their time, they should be able to run free not stuck in them which more often than not are far too small to house them.
Lee hope your arm is feeling better now, I think some of them think they are on dart practice!!!
My other sister in law visited me yesterday made a nice change .It was her birthday too.
I bought her a nice cardigan.
It's a real shame she no longer sees or hears from her grandchildren, they should be ashamed of themselves.
she has no one else apart from a sister.
Hi everyone! Sorry I've been hit or miss but between my computer and Care2 I have been going crazy and decide to just shut it down. Sooooo slow, too. Well I am still feeding the rabbits and cleaning their wet dirty cage sometimes. It is getting real chilly tonight so I went down and stuffed their tiny cage (GRRRRR!) with hay for warmth and then I noticed that someone put a small covered trash can full of rabbit pellets near the cage, so that is one less food I have to provide. I wonder who did it since the guy was working. Unless he came home for lunch which I doubt.
Lee, I'm glad you enjoyed the retreat and I'm sorry your hands and feet are in pain and your arm too from the shot.
Pam, good to see you and I love your little squirrel graphic!
Agnes, I love your sparkly, colorful graphic too!
Lily, please keep us updated on your sister-in-law. I hope all will be well with her.
Gotta run as I have stuff to do before bedtime; I have to be to work at 5:45 am in the morning. Oh why did I volunteer for that early shift. lol
Hi all, nice graphics,
Lee you need you flu jab, haven't had one so far this year.
I cant even take any cold remedies if I have a cold as I was told affect my blood pressure with the tablets I take for that.
My sister in law going into hospital this morning for her brain operation.
She must be so scared.
When I went to switch on pc earlier I just got a blank screen!!
took ages before I could start it.
And last night had to re-install my security software as that was playing up.
Vicky still having problems I guess.
The groups are a bit quiet at the moment.
The weather is so dull here at the moment, would be nice to see a bit of sun but looks like that is out of the question now.
Nothing but darker evenings earlier here now.
But I guess for some of you just the opposite.
Yes rest those hands and feet Lee.
come to that many flowers are so pets have to be watched when you have a lot of flowers
Lily, I cohost a group called 'Bunny Lovers' and a lady named Ros (who cohosts with me) posted the following. You might be interested....I assume it is not for Americans, just for the U.K. I will post this also in CCF.
"The RWAF is delighted to announce that the charity arm of the organisation, the Rabbit Welfare Fund, has joined the Sunshine Lottery scheme.

Good evening Lily, Lee, Agnes and Yaffa? I do not see her or her profile. Am I blind Lily? That's entirely possible. lol
Lily, I'm sorry you're having trouble posting too. It gets so darn aggravating doesn't it. Sometimes I sit on my for hours and don't make it to a lot of groups. Enjoy your rain and bulb planting. I love your dolphin and doggy graphic!
Lee, enjoy your retreat. I'm glad Pepsi and Dudley are doing better.
Agnes, what are your plans this weekend? Your graphic is very colorful!
Come back Yaffa...we miss you.
Good night everyone!
Vicky I'm sure when you get another pc everything will be fine.
My internet was playing up a day ago and I couldn't type on some things and even in an e-mail words were appearing some seconds after typing and I got fed up waiting for them to appear.
My server seems to play up on and off.
My jib jab videos sometimes work work on it and I have to go into Firefox to do them. gets to be a nusiance bobbing backwards and forwards.
Hi everybody. Yes, I'm still having trouble. I can't open Photobucket so I can upload and post photos, my computer is running sooooooooo slow (it takes me hours just to post in a couple of groups) and other personal problems I'm having that I won't bore you with.
Anyway, I didn't mean to bring anyone down with my complaining. I'll post when I can and yes Lee I can't wait til I get my new computer and I'm praying that it will run decently and FAST like this one is supposed to.
Have a great weekend...sorry for no graphic. I miss you guys!
sh
About time Vicky showed herself, hope she's not having problems again.
I managed to get some of the bulbs in today, not round Maurice's grave yet though as I still have to remove the weeds first.
I put some netting over until they take so the squirrels dont dig them up.
although they are so clever still might find their way in!!!!!
it has been raining here but not all that much really.
Still quite mild for this time of the year.
Good morning friends,
well here we are, my internet is playing up on and off and has been freezing the pages so got fed up waiting around.
If it carries on I will phone them ,maybe my software wants re-installing or something.
To crown it had TV trouble couldn't get some channels.I must have done something (dont know what -so many switches these days) but thankfully fixed it now.
But wasted so much valuable time when I have things to do on here.
Enjoy your retreat Lee when you go and dont forget to take your gloves!
I did that myself the first time as on my laptop dont always get the whole page showing.
I went to my brother's , he seemed quite well and it was a surprise for him as he didn't know I was going.
Vicky, here's Lily's link...
http://uk.pedigree.com/pedigreeadoptiondrive/
This is the one Ripley's in.
this pic is so cute!
Cant stay long as I hope to go ove rmy brother's later.
It is dark earlier now so going to be dark when I come home but thankfully plenty of light out there.
The nights will seem to go quicker now too.Bonfire night soon, poor animals again.
it has happened in the past that some poor hedgehogs have lost their lives through this.
I hate bonfire night!!
Good evening Agnes, Lily and where's Lee? I hope her hands aren't acting up too much.
Agnes, of course I had to snag your latest graphic. It is sooo cute. I may post it on Facebook.
Lily, thanks for the warm welcome back. I also hope my computer will be trouble free for a while.
Well this is short. I will visit tomorrow. Have a great evening.

Let's hope you dont have any more problems.
Lee strange about that coin, I dont know maybe it is one I dropped sometime and then got picked up with the packing. But if you get someone to read what's on it will probably know then.
It has been quite mild considering it is almost November but we are going to get it cold like last year they say, brrrrr.
Got most of the last of apples in ,still some up high but the birds can have those I guess if they want them.
I have quite a few crumbles in the freezer so dont know if I will have room for any more.

Hi everybody! I sure missed you and am praying that I have no more trouble for a while with Care2 and/or my computer.
Lily, I am keeping your family member in prayer re: her brain tumor. What a scary thing and to find out around her birthday too. Sorry you still have the rat problem. I'm snagging your little dog sliding down the pole.
Agnes, what a cute Halloween graphic and I just had to snag it. I hope you have a great weekend.
Lee, Is Ripley a new addition to your family? I may have missed a post or two. I hope Pepsi's paw is continuing to heal. So you got the gift that Lily sent you? That was a really nice thing for her to do.
Kathryn! So good to see you again...we missed you. But I understand how the extra work hours cut into your free time. One good thing is the extra money for Christmas and bills.
Well, I got lots of other groups (and threads) to visit so I'll see you later.
cant write much now as I have been messing about on here with pages getting frozen and signed off and on a few times.
Lee I have no idea about that coin,I'm sure it wasn't in the box already.Did you find it in the big box or the duck one?
Hello dear friends. Sorry it's been awhile since I last posted. I have been working so much, I meet myself at the front door. The holiday season is upon us and trust me, working in retail, it starts early. People are already shopping. I'll be one of them tomorrow. LOL!!!! I'd like to get my shopping done by Thanksgiving if I can. This week alone I've put in close to 32 hours. I was only scheduled for 20 hours. So, I'm not used to working full time hours. Well, I know this is short. I at least wanted to stop by and say howdy. I miss ya'll so much. I hope everyone has a grand Thursday. Love, Kathryn
Hi Lily,
I think she's just stepped on a stone that went between her pads. She's putting a little more weight on it as time passes and now her limp is much better. I'm going to hold off on the vet as he's so expensive. Now Dudley the parrot is having an allergy attack so I'm dealing with that too. His head is all stopped up, and parrots don't blow their noses. If I could teach him to do that, this would be no problem.
I got both your e-mails. I'm just so far behind... The coin is silver-colored. The print on it is so small I can't read it even with my magnifier. Could it have already been in the box?
Lee

Always something isn't there.Yes that Ripley thing is good. I like that dog s pic .nice.
Did you see the e-mail where I asked about the coin?
Because I cant remember putting anything like that in there.

Yes Lee that link is a good one,you can do it every day if you want,
Hope your gloves are helping you.
Hi Lee yes well terriers wouldn't be able to get to them either as they run under the fence and so quick too.
I cant put traps or poison down because of othe ranimals or birds.
I got an e-mail today from my in laws in the country.
My niece said her mum has got a brain tumour and is waiting for the hospital to send for her for an operation.
Her husband must be very worried and thinking of his brother (my late husband) who died from one.
I only hope they can remove it all>
It is her birthday this week too, what a present!
Yes I am going to see my brother on Thursday all being well.

Hi friends,
Good morning, I guess you'll be in later.
There is a new click to donate I have put in the causes thread.A good one free donations when people click to save dogs.
The weekend went quickly as usual and there has been a forecast for over here for floods in some areas.
Luckily not usually here(fingers crossed) but I hate the wind and that is coming too I think.
Still haven't got round to putting my bulbs in ,I will have to get cracking soon as it is dark early now.Need to get some weeds out too.Darned rats about still as well. They are after the birds food.
yesterday I put some bread on the bird table as it was starting to go stale,
and the squirrel was out there a long time eating nuts so kept the pigeons away for some time so the result was a lot of the bread was still there later and when I looked out (it was dark then) I saw a rat up the bird table and in the morning it was all gone!!
They are a nusiance ,2 cats come round stalking there but they never seem to catch one.
The rats are too quick and go under the fence so they cant reach them.
I dont think it is all Care2 Vicky, mine seems ok at the moment.
I hope you get your new pc Christmas (wont be long now!)
My server was playing up earlier freezing pages so I had to shut down and come back.so it isn't always Care2.
well we try and keep things going when you aren't here
but sometimes I dont get here as much as I like as there are other groups that have a lot of threads.
And I am sitting up far too late these days.
It is certainly addictive !! lol
Yes Lee saw both e-mails, I have sent you 2 more so watch for them.
As you will read in Squirrel Lovers, I am leaving Care2 for at least a week. Whether it was Care2, my computer or both I lost 2 VERY LONG POSTS and I am sick of it. I hope you all hold the fort down but I know you will. Lily, you are in charge.
Later and have a great weekend! I'll miss you all.
no Lee it was just that I was up until the early hours and I went to bed because too tired to write any more.
I shouldn't sit up like I do but it is a bad habit I haven't been able to get out of since i started using a computer.
getting colder here now and I put one of my bigger plants back in the greenhouse before the frost gets it.
Last year the frost even managed to kill off one in there and this one is the saved one so hopefully it will survive this winter.
Sorry I've been MIA but a lot has been going on. My daughter informed me on Sunday she is getting married so there has been lot's going on. She and her hubby to be are flying out to Las Vegas this Sunday and will be gone for 10 days. My cousin who had a liver transplant is back in the University hospital trying and trying to get well. Lily the red X's are all over Care2 since I've been visiting groups this evening. I think it's Care2 messing up but I could be wrong. You all be good to yourselves now. Hugs
Hi Vicky, Lily, and Agnes,
My hands are a little better today.
Lily, it came! It came Saturday, but I couldn't hear the postman at the door so he left a slip to come and pick it up. My uncle picked it up yesterday for me and is going to bring it by today. He called and said it was from the UK so it's got to be from you. I'll get to see it later today.
Have a wonderful day, Vicky and Agnes.
Lee
it has been raining a bit here,
very windy too and cold.
Looks like they are going to get snow up north already.
I shall be like a hermit if it does lol
Anyway if I cant get out the garden maybe I will catch up on things that need doing indoors, if I can stay off here long enough !!
Hi Lily, Lee and anyone else. Sorry I'm late getting here (like 3 days) hahaha!
Lee, I know your hands must be bothering you but at least you are able to post those cute little pictures and let us know you're here!
Lily, I forgot about your bad back and telling you to work in your garden for at least 1 hour. Sounds like you got some really nice bulbs; I wish we got free gifts like you do. I, too have so much weeding, etc. to do but I have lost interest it seems. If I had someone around here to help me it wouldn't be so bad. I live on 3/4 of an acre so there is lots to do.
Well my bedtime is drawing near so I will bid you both good night.
This post was modified from its original form on 17 Oct, 19:45
Hi friends,
Saw a cute robin having a bath out there this morning, didn't seem to mind how cold it was.
Pity I didn't have my camera with me.
Getting colder now and they say it will with frost and even snow in some parts of Britain. I hate it.
Not had much summer again.
Where are you Lee? hope your hands aren't playing up again now you have the gloves.
Well Vicky putting aside an hour, doubt it as my back plays up in less than half an hour usually so I cant do much at a time.
I have made some space where I have cut the raspberry stems short, they grow up again,
And usually daffodils come up there too every year.
But I am putting extra soil on top and putting some other bulbs in there too.
I had some narcissi bulbs come today they are the miniature type.
One of the containers which I had plants in last year, I was going to put bulbs in that but the bottom fell out rotted!!
So I will have to use different ones.
I have hycinth, anenomes, narcissi to put in and possibly something else cant remember now but quite a few out there.
Oh and another free gift!! a torch, although I have some already it is a nice one--Grundig and a very strong beam.
