I am a volunteer with a group in Central Mexico called The Center for Global Justice (www.centerglobaljustice.org) begun by a group of retired US university professors. The goal of the group is to break the hammerlock of multi-national corporations on the economies of the world. The tactic is primarily the forming of cooperative worker-owned ventures and consumer cooperatives, beginning with the greatest victims of multi-national policies, Third World communities.
The Center also, of necessity, concerns itself with issues of community, sustainability, environment, etc. But the main thrust is economic democracy.
We are seeking strategic alliances with people and groups around the world to gain strength in numbers.
Such alliances will begin with dialogs to see what can be done to support each other. If interested, please respond to this letter.
