I have just arrived in Charlotte (well, just outside of it) and we did get a bit, um, misdirected, but after an hour of driving around (and past) the hotel, we are here. I will post more either tonight or tomorrow.

We had a good time in Charlotte. We met the 501st Legion (elite Star Wars troupe that includes the 'villians' of the Star Wars Universe). All were very kind and gracious.
The kids were so amazed that we were on the third floor....looking out the window 'we are so far off the ground!'
They were also amazed about seeing the tall buildings in Charlotte and all the people. We even saw a guy walking down the street with a big snake around his neck!
The kids made the website photos! When you check out www.autismspeaks.org link to the pictures from the Carolinas walk, and they'll be most of the way down, towards the beginning of the row, there are two pictures of them. My youngest angel is wearing a Clone Trooper outfit, my son, bless that dear sweet angel, has his hands over his ears, because at that point, we were by a stage and the person talking was very loud. My hubby is kneeling with the kids. I was walking the Lowe's Motor Speedway track.
All in all, we had a very good time. We look forward to next year.
