Please share your story about living on minimum wage.

Include things like your costs of living (rent, bills, etc.) and your paycheck. Is there anything left over or are you always in a deficit?

Have you been able to save an emergency fund?

Do you have credit card debt?

How are you saving money for retirement? Do you have a pension plan?

How are you paying for insurance such as Health Insurance?

What other important needs are not being met?

What important needs are you able to meet?

In this U.S.A. the price of living is so high that even those who are just above the minimum wage with kids can not ever make ends meet. The cost of health insurance in this country is so high that we can not afford to get the proper care not only for our children but for ourselfs as well.

Get the politicians to go and do there job and be one the people on minimum wage as the repersentive of this country and the people in it. let them be one of the people trying to get health insurance for their family without the pay they get from being a politician. Let the doctors, dentists, and the mechanics get minimum wage so they know what it is like when their kids are sick or they are sick what it takes to make ends meet.

Our politicians are supposed to have jobs while they represent us in the laws of this country, we are not supposed to pay federal tax anymore but the politicians do not want that because its how thaey get paid. M ake them get jobs and not get paid to be a politician, so they remember how hard it is to be a U.S. citizen.

How does everyone live on minimum wage?  It is always a choice of either paying the rent, or paying for food.  No, there is never an emergency fund, and yes, there is always credit card debt.

Anyone else out there always feeling guily about the things the kids cannot have?
