We Need to get more people involved outside of AK May 16, 2008 7:20 AM

I've been sporting a "STOP PEBBLE MINE" button since last August when my son returned home from Naknek. We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I had never heard of Pebble Mine. More people need to be informed. Just how to do that... I don't know. But until more people know about it... we're doomed! I'm emailing my friend in Monteray CAlifornia where sustainability is HUGE! They need to know that the world's largest salmon fishery is headedf or ruin! SPEAK UP AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

anonymous WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE? April 27, 2008 3:35 AM

The mining company has hundreds of millions of dollars at their disposal, all we have are the people and public opinion. Why is it that only a thousand people believe this is an important issue?  [report anonymous abuse]  [ accepted]

From The Host...^i^ February 02, 2008 6:09 PM

Thank you all for your support! Sorry I haven't been in better touch but that doesn't mean I'm not up on what people are doing and saying. I have land issues I'm fighting and if we could open the First Nations eyes to what "Land Patents" are and what it means to them...we would have a valuable ally!!! Keep up your fight and together we will make the differance. To communicate with me personally, feel free to e-mail birdmankfr@yahoo.com and I will reply as I can. My internet has been very limited and I'm working to be more self sufficent for you...Birdman^i^ *usa*  [ send green star]

anonymous ALL MEMBERS CAN GET BEHIND THIS January 31, 2008 5:33 AM

No matter where you are the on conservation/preservation continuum, this is an issue everyone can agree on. We must stop this mine and the toxic lake from being built. The time is now to be heard as the mine company's money is flowing. Your voice and frankly your financial support are both needed. With nearly 24,000 members I can't believe this petition hasn't reached its goal. Discusting Waste - Pebble Mine Project January 24, 2008 12:44 PM

I am host of the group Adventure Alaska. I applaud your effort as an Alaskan resident and former lodge owner in the area targeted by the developers. I have also joined the cause by presenting the concern in my Cache Newsletter included on my website. anonymous Thank you to signers January 24, 2008 4:43 AM

I am new to the petition site and still learning about how to best promote our battle with Pebble Mine, but we're starting to get some signatures and interest. I have set up a group to help get the word out. It is under "ENVIRONMENT" and my Welcome post includes some links folks might be interested in. We're fighting a similar battle in Alaska to protect Bristol Bay from what will be the world's largest toxic lake. I hope we can count on your support by signing our petition. I have also included a link to our web page should you want to get more information.
