We Need to get more people involved outside of AK May 16, 2008 7:20 AM
I've been sporting a "STOP PEBBLE MINE" button since last August when my son returned home from Naknek. We live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I had never heard of Pebble Mine. More people need to be informed. Just how to do that... I don't know. But until more people know about it... we're doomed! I'm emailing my friend in Monteray CAlifornia where sustainability is HUGE! They need to know that the world's largest salmon fishery is headedf or ruin!
SPEAK UP AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW!

The mining company has hundreds of millions of dollars at their disposal, all we have are the people and public opinion. Why is it that only a thousand people believe this is an important issue?

Thank you all for your support! Sorry I haven't been in better touch but that doesn't mean I'm not up on what people are doing and saying. I have land issues I'm fighting and if we could open the First Nations eyes to what "Land Patents" are and what it means to them...we would have a valuable ally!!! Keep up your fight and together we will make the differance. To communicate with me personally, feel free to e-mail birdmankfr@yahoo.com and I will reply as I can. My internet has been very limited and I'm working to be more self sufficent for you...Birdman^i^ *usa*

I am host of the group Adventure Alaska. I applaud your effort as an Alaskan resident and former lodge owner in the area targeted by the developers. I have also joined the cause by presenting the concern in my Cache Newsletter included on my website. To view this and other Alaska environmental, wildlife issues go to: http://AdventureAlaska-Ltd.com/newsletter

I am new to the petition site and still learning about how to best promote our battle with Pebble Mine, but we're starting to get some signatures and interest.
I have set up a group to help get the word out. It is under "ENVIRONMENT" and my Welcome post includes some links folks might be interested in.
