Greetings to All,
I am just learning more about Sea Turtles and looking to relocate near Topsail Island, where there is a big Sea Turtle Rescue Mission and I look forward to getting involved
If there is anything I may do to help the group, just let me know!
I just returned from studying Green Sea Turtles in Uruguay! What an amazing animal...unfortunately they aare in jeopardy from...can you guess? PLASTIC! Almost all sranded turtles we found had their stomach, eosophagus, or intestines filled with junk--from plastic bags to disposable razors, to barrettes, to bottlecaps. Our turtles are dying from our waste. What an eye-opening experience. I have vowed to watch and reduce my plastic waste!

I was taking a walk with a client at work about a month ago, and there was a large turtle in the middle of a private road. It was alive and I had no idea how it had gotten there. We waited by it (although the speed limit there is 20 mph, the road sees a fair amount of traffic) until someone could come with gloves and a "mule" (kind of like a golf cart) and take it to a safer place.

I have signed the petitions you posted links on. Thanks for the invite. I will try to keep up as much as I can. I'm happy that you started this group.
