We are coming to the end of our tenth month and how far we've come! We started on January 30, 2007 and talked a great deal about our own carbon footprints. We worked on light bulb changing, ecosafe cleaning products, saving heat in our homes and reducing the use of electricity.
We soon expanded to our outer environment and discussed our cars, fossil fuel, and fuels that would not cause problems for our environment. This led us to global warming and we opened up a vast expanse.
What we did do with all of this was to stop blaming companies and anyone else who was around. We accepted our responsibility and tasks-a far cry from what other climate groups were doing. "TIMES THEY WERE CHANGING".
Vice President Al Gore brought everything home to us in "An Inconvenient Truth". Our look at global warming even got bigger, but we didn't throw out all the early work so necessary to have ongoing acievements. Baking Soda, Washing Soda and Vinegar are forever etched in our brains.
We worked very hard with humor and seriousness to persue our goals to change our ways of living that were polluting the globe. We considered if, in fact, we were going through an atmospheric cycle that would change our globe for maybe a long while. If we were, we wanted to cut down on our contributions to hasten the change since its impact would be overwhelming.
Here we all are. Our numbers have grown and we are still at our work. How absolutely wonderful !
Yours, Louise B.
