The Creation myth in the Bible is a beautiful story, as are the Creation myths of all religions. Nothing wrong with reading them. Evolution is a theory that has tremendous scientific evidence to back it up. I don't get how Creationists argur that their "science" is any more scientific than thinking the Earth rests on the back of a turtle.

Evolution is the most elegant demonstration of intelligent design. In terms of physics, things go from higher levels of order to lower levels of order. Clearly something has driven dramatically in the opposite direction when it comes to life. To think that this is all an accident in a meaningless universe is ridiculous- and certainly not scientific. The phenomenon of consciousness involves more than brain circuitry. No matter how advanced and capable of responding to the environment, a computer will never have the sense of being that is our birthright. The "viewer" in your mind's eye is a reflection of divine awareness. Evolution is true and it is the means through which our Creator has gifted us all with this magnificent experience.

Edwin, as the owner of the group Evolution Education, I must admit that I have had to struggle with the difficult issue of whether science (evolution) and religion (Intelligent Design) can ever be reconciled. Take a look at this thread: http://www.care2.com/c2c/groups/disc.html?gpp=2192&pst=299682&archival=

LOL @ Freediver. Gee, he must think this is a political election and if most people that take this poll vote his way, he will get elected to a public office. How pathetic!
