: What do I expect from group members?

Many hosts expect active participation from group members and desire constant activity on their groups. I don't. Many people I invite to my groups express concern that they don't have the time to devote to more groups. My groups are their for the benefit of members and I am happy for them to get something from the group in their own time and return nothing, even if they ask lots of questions. In many of my groups I would rather have a small amount of information that is of timeless value rather than a constant stream of chatter (though I don't mind if you just want to chat). I welcome debates as they help to ensure that the information provided is sound. I often rewrite my posts after lengthy debates as I find that I can express my views much more clearly and concisely and back them up more rigourously.

But don't be afraid to contribute if you have something!

I am not sure how to best discribe the electrol college right now, in an effective way, except to pass along this web page.

I do know that it is a 'check and balance' so the farmer in a land of three people per sq mile has just as much say over L.A. with it's hundreds of thousands of people per sq mi. It becomes the balance between the executive branch of the government to the legislator branch. I'd say it levels the playing field. The judicial branch is the "third leg" I keep touting positivially about!
Doesn't the electrol college represent territory while the popular vote represent people??? Isn't one just as important as the other?
Farmers need water to irregate. City folk need it to drink and wash their cars. If the electrol vote favors a man and the land while popular vote favors the the people in the city... , can you not see the balance as needed?

In physics; is it possible to "return nothing"?

To go further; there is no "no". There is degrees, percentages, ratios, or measurements of what is. Is, is a process - a process of rational inquiry.
