Blog: RE: Fairness in the Alito Hearings remove Remove this share

I read the editorial Fairness in the Alito Hearings and saw that the writier made reference to the story that appeared in the Wall Street Journal on Sunday regarding Sen. Graham's presence at a "moot court" session and a private converstaion he had with the judge afterwords.

I do not think that it casts doubt on his fairness becasue he did ask challenging questions of the judge. He asked questions regarding the Law of Armed Conflict and did a great job yesterday. Does this get mentioned? No! the writer chooses to focus only on the "moot court" session and converstaion. I think he will be very fair and will not as already illustrated ask softball question like some of his Republican colleagues did.

Please present the entire story when you criticize for one actio, and I understand the criticism for one action please try to also illustrate that persons good work. I reccommend that you pay close attention when Sen. Graham is questioning the judge today because I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how fair he is and how much his questions challenge to the witness.
