About me, A brief history:

Born in Denver, I lived in Panama, VA, NJ, IA, CA [briefly], and in Mexico 11 mos., -hope to end up on my farm in VA.

Education:
Montessori pre-school [had the same teacher my father had in 1917] thru 3rd grade in the Canal Zone. Panama. [See my foto albums.] I spent the best 7 years of my life as a 3rd generation "Zonie".
Most of Elem. Sch. in Dumont NJ, in an atmosphere remarkably like what you see in Jean Shepard's movie "A Christmas Story".
Jr. & half of SR. H.S. in Trenton NJ - I attended Trenton H.S. which at the time was being emulated nationally for its educational program and greatly admired for its architecture as well.
I later taught there for some 20 years, saw its decorative wooden balustrades fall into rot & disrepair, its walls in & out covered with graffiti, and described by a local paper as "The Zoo" in reference to its general state of anarchy.
I'm a 3rd generation graduate of the State U. of Iowa, Iowa city,[and had the same swimming coach as my father.]

My purpose for being Here was primarily to share my fotos & CAD drawings.

I am not really into politics, but after the Bush appointment I was drawn into some web political discussions and particularly by the insensitivity shown toward older folks in the 'butterfly ballot' fiasco. -and other aspects as well. -I rather enjoyed matching wits with some of their best.

And when the Kelo decision came out I was ready to take to the streets..
-but the streets, oddly enough, ..were empty....!!..??

I agree that I probably should not have posted where I did, but at the time I thought I was posting to an adjunct discussion group. Inasmuch as I have neither the time nor the energy to sponsor a petition, I will move when and if C-2 asks me to. In the meantime, as I seem to have been well received [in the main] I will stay where I am.
I have more to say on the subject of Eminent Domain but would prefer to hold that in reserve for responding to new posts.
