My name is Jen. My husband and I live in New England, where he is studying international veterinary medicine. We hope to relocate overseas once we finish school and continue our work in wildlife conservation and animal protection and welfare. We are involved in animal rescue and wildlife rehabilitation here and overseas and foster neglected, abused or orphaned animals of all kinds. I also work to help secure funding for non profits helping protect animals.
I am a photographer and try to use my photography to raise awareness and gain publicity for causes about which I care.
We are currently working to find support for Lwiro Wildlife Sanctuary in DRC. Lwiro has over twenty chimpanzee orphans, victims of the bushmeat and illegal wildlife trade. The project aims to ensure the care of these and other wildlife orphans as well as initiate education and awareness programs throughout DRC. Ultimately release programs will be implemented to help these individuals find their way back into their natural environments.
