I am an honest person who tries to brighten people's days when I can. I try to say "Have a nice day" to people when I'm checking out somewhere, because I know they never hear it, or they wish me one, I'll return the favor. I hold the door for almost anyone, regardless if they're male, female, or however they look, even if I'm late. I generally put myself before others, more than I should perhaps, but that was the way I was brought up. My friends would say that I am kind, caring, and unique. I have a sarcastic sense of humor, but I also make people laugh by randomly inserting song lyrics into conversation or doing goofy things or saying something completely random. I consider myself a nerd, though I don't have the look of one really. (Well, at least I don't wear glasses. Nothing against people with glasses though. I wore them once.) I am a smart person, though I don't try to rub it in your face like some people do. I like watching Jeopardy and testing my knowledge, and some days I'm pretty damn good at it. I tend to be easily amused by simple things. I tend to aspire to do more things than I actually do, and I work much better with set deadlines in front of me. I'm an avid recycler, and my town has bins to enable me to do this. I really care about the environment and have petitioned my elected officials and other people in power to support legislation which protects it.
It seems like everyone else puts their interests here, so I'll do some of the same. I like going to sports games, running road races, writing short stories and poems (when inspired), biking around town, working out, and reading. I'm not really a big bar person, though I will go on occasion if I'm with some friends. I enjoy theater shows (musicals, improv, plays), though I haven't been to one in a while. I just finished acting in a murder mystery spoof at a community college. That was quite the experience. Helps you to be more outgoing for sure.
I tend to be shy at first, but I open up once I get to know you. Send me a message, and I won't disappoint. I'm more interesting in person than I am writing about myself in a profile box, believe me.
"Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things." - T.S. Eliot
