Let me see now, I am a firm believer in fighting for causes you believe in, I do. I may not always win, but the point is to try. If you dont ever try then you will never succeed and I feel good about myself knowing that I usually give 110%. I have lived here in Temecula (So. California) for 23 years now. Love gardening. Working on my own currently. Bought my current house here 8 years ago and have a 9,000 sq.ft. lot that was all grass! I hate grass, its a waste of energy (water, mowing, fertilizing) so am cutting out a lot of that and replacing it with lower maintenance plants and trees. I was a real estate agent for five years, got out of that a few years ago with the collapse of the economy, and for the past two years have been going to school in Oceanside for Landscape Design, just got my ceritificate in Landscape Architecture. My philosophy in my business is to have a beautiful, functional, useable space, but one that does not consume more energy than it gives back. Have put in four raised beds here at my house, where I raise organically grown strawberries, tomatoes, herbs, veggies, you name it! As far as my personal beliefs go, I believe in personal accountability and responsibility. This goes for individuals as well as "corporate America" and any and all entitites. I love rockin blues bands and go to clubs in San Diego and in Spring and Summer, all the Blues Festivals I can squeeze in and still work enough to make ends meet. I met my new husband last year at clubs I used to go to, he's a musician from San Diego. Well thats all about me for now. Thanks for reading this far! Feel free to contact me if you are a kindred spirit, photos appreciated. Namaste.
Fun, high-energy person, love doing new things, love listening to live bands (Rockin blues/Swing) and dancing! I believe we are all one, if only we could all understand that concept. I am passionate, sometimes too much so, honest, and fast to forgive others, not so easy to forgive myself. Love to fight for a cause I believe in. Love gardening (organic of course!) and nature. Enjoy traveling on roads I've never traveled before to places I've never been, as well as familiar places.
I dont know if its "wild" but I changed laws here in Riverside County where I live to stop the disgusting "sport" of cock-fighting. Basically changed the zoning laws so that Mexicans could no longer have 200 roosters on a half an acre parcel. It was quite an experience! Taught me that persistance can pay off in the end and that is why I will never say no to fighting for causes I believe in. Every single person can make a difference, its like throwing a pebble in a lake, watch the ripples that radiate outward from just that one tiny pebble! Thats me, a tiny pebble in an ocean, but boy can I make some ripples!
Treat others as I wish to be treated
What Gives Me Hope
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Get rid of dirty fuels, subsidize fuel efficient transportation, hybrid cars, homes that are built with solar heating & cooling systems in place as well as wind generators for each home (where possible), give builders an incentive to do this, they either do it or they don't get a permit! Why cant we have a "gym" powered solely by the people inside working out? Do you know how much energy is being expended in those places? I would stop this insane war in the middle east (if I were president) and tighten control over all financial institutions i this country immediately. Banks are destroying this country, along with a few other institutions, and they should be monitored. I would also stop importing so much from other countries. We have a huge trade deficit. no wonder we have no money here, it all goes overseas! We need to get some internal infrastructure in this country instead of relying so much on other countries. Stop our dependency on oil! It can abe done.
What/who changed my life and why
I don't think any one person, book, movie, or event has changed my life, many of these things combined have made me what I am though. My grandmother had a big impact on my life, living on little, but showing me that you always need to help others and be happy with what you have.
"You see that pale, blue dot? That's us. Everything that has ever happened in all of human history, has happened on that pixel. All the triumphs and all the tragedies, all the wars all the famines, all the major advances.....it's our only home. And that is what is at stake, our ability to live on planet Earth, to have a future as a civilization. I believe this is a moral issue, it is your time to cease this issue, it is our time to rise again to secure our future."
