I'm a singer-songwriter living in the san francisco bay area and have written and recorded two albums entitled "good news, bad news" and "cold, cruel world" -- original songs that blend the genres of folk, rock, blues, bluegrass, celtic, jazz, and world music while hearkening back to the protest and topical
songs of the 1960s and early 1970s with themes addressing progressive issues like peace vs. war, global poverty, and global warming -- lend an ear

On my 50th birthday my late husband who did his best to give me a nice birthday that he knew would be his last with me, was therefore bitter sweet. We went to a lovely tropical setting, pool, and such, but I knew in the back of my mind my days with him were limited. The cancer did take him not quite 6 months later. I am now at another milestone, 60th, and this time I am just in the beginnings of a relationship since first of Dec. with another good man. So each milestone I had a wonderful love in my life it is just this one is coming whereas the other I knew was to be leaving me. The 50ties were a long Widow Walk so yes, I am in the beginning of life again at 60. Thanks for thinking of me Michael.
Norfolk Island was found and founded by some of the mutineers from the HMS Bounty and there is a touch of piracy too. Length and width....threatened daily by global warming. Glad we have some altitude.
The two songs I chose to celebrate the new year of 2013 are Niki Nana meaning We Are One or as Lakota say Mitakuye Oyasin. The other song hails from the sixties but we need this as much today as then. Peace, we must speak up for Peace more often! Let 2012 be the end of the old ways 2013 the beginning of better ways. HAPPY NEW YEAR...Hope U R Ok.
