I love animals and nature and hate to see cruelty towards animals. They depend on us and we should be their protectors. They need a voice in Legislation for their rights to be accepted and respected by the ordinary Joe Soap.

The government place so little emphasis on the rights of animals, that the ordinary everyday child at school, or person on the street, treats these creatures like they were just another posession and like they had no feelings. They have many of the same feelings that we humans do, and deserve to be treated with RESPECT .

What Gives Me Hope	People like Greenpeace - and those who devote their lives to helping the weaker members of our society ie. the elderly, the mentally handicapped, animals in need etc...
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by	Bring in legislation to make it a priviledge to own an animal and not a right. Too many "monsters" own these innocent creatures and treat them horrendously. They should not be allowed to own an animal - EVER.
What/who changed my life and why	My one-eyed cat Sammy! He was almost "put down" 6 years ago, but was save in the nick of time. He's 6 year's old now and just adorable. I'm so glad I didn't agree with the vet. Also, I've seen a tiny little 3 month ginger kitten do into "mourning" when his playmates were all homed the one day, and he was left alone. I never knew until then, that a small kitten could feel "loss.."
