About Me	Hello there, and welcome to my profile... of sorts. My name is Melanie, I live in a little town in the south of England where boredom is all too apparent! ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- I attend St Vincent College which is prooving to be little more than bearable, but i'm not one to complain... much. I study Music, Music Tech, English Literature and Geography, also this odd ICT thing, which I don't attend, so thus, it's not worth mentioning. I have never really been much of a "crowd follower", for me "fitting in" is not one of my main priorities, I find that to live my life I need to show some self worth and at least a small amount of individuality. Now this may seem a little odd for a girl of my age and learning, however I believe it is unfathomably important. I support gay rights, little passion of mine, I cannot believe that in this day and age, people still get victimised, it's bloody awful... really it is. Have I lost some of you? I do hope not, i'm very pleased that you are still reading this and have not yet closed this page in favour of more entertaining activities. You see this is the problem with me, I start to talk about a certain subject then all of a sudden I go off on a tangent. Anyway, back to subject (whatever that may have been), I do believe I was describing myself, please do correct me if i'm wrong. I don't like the spitfulness some people can display, but if needs be I would at least ask for a justification of your actions, that all done then. Oh good I am pleased, oh dear.. i'm going off on a tangent again, aren't I? Oops, now with the rhetorical questioning. ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Although the way you dress does by no means describe your personality, I feel inclined to describe my dress sense, as it seems to have become somewhat of a major issue on most websites, so here it goes; I adore velvet and lace, victorian dress being my preference. I have to say I have a soft spot for medieval corset dresses, what can I say.. they're just beautiful. I have recently been delving in to the more "bondage" side of clothing, which displeases my peers greatly. Heh heh heh, -evil smirk- I have to say though, I do love my leather trench coat, which I wear almost everywhere (if i'm not wearing my cloak). I do like DM footwear, but my favourite shoes have to be my new rock boots, they're the old style ones. As far as make-up goes, I wear the usual; white face, eye liner, and either deep red or black lipstick, although recently I have been using grey eye powder instead of the harsh lines usually achieved by my black liner pen. My ears are peirced, but only once in the lobes, which I have now stretched to an 8 guage without my parents prior consent or knowledge, how awful of me! I have peirced my own ear, so I now am the proud owner of three peircings, hurrah! ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Hah! My hair is currently red/brown/black and it's length reaches to the centre of my back, it used to be twice the length however it got unmanageable, so much to my displeasure, it had to get cut. I am growing it long again though, although not to the length it was previously because I don't think it would stay as managable as it is now, thus causing problems... it is now shorter than it has ever been, as my default picture shows... oh bloody hell, i'm going off on a tangent.. AGAIN! What to talk about now? My Religion, yes that will be suitable. I am an eclectic pagan, which in my case means I am; pagan, wiccan, norse, druidic, shamanic, celtic, whilst studying some native american and egyption beliefs and cultures. I am the high priestess in a small working group. I celebrate the 8 different turning points in the year, either with my coven (or working group, whichever you'd like to call it), or by myself (solitary). Now, onto a different subject... I play 14 musical instruments, some of which include; flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, piano, violin, guitar, amongst quite a few others which I won't go into. I recently took my grade 5 in flute and passed with distinction, which I was rather pleased with. I am currently learning bass guitar. A while back I joined a band called "The strange death of liberal england", which is going well. ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Ok, what to talk about now... personality? Yes I suppose that would be best, seeing as I have gone off on a unusually large number of tangents already. I have been told I am easy to get along with, I am not sure if this is true, I will however take their word for it. I think I am a reasonably nice person, i'll give anyone a chance.. no preconceptions with me! If you need me in a crisis i'll be there, once you've made a friend in me it's hard to shake me off (moving countries should do it), no but seriously I can be fiercely loyal, just as my star sign suggests (Taurus). I tend to be oversensitve when it comes to my feelings, and I find it rather hard not to be opinionated. I love to stand up for people and do not find it pleasing to be on the giving or the receiving end of abuse, I simply do not see reason for it. If one person does not like another then they should just leave them be, not need for confrontation. ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Moving on... I see no need to express your dislike for others other the internet either (another thing I despise), if you're too cowardly to tell that person in person, then just keep your little remarks to yourself, it's not going to do ANYBODY any good, especially you. Ok, rant over, I would love it if you would comment upon my profile... etcetera, but do not feel pressured in to doing so, if you would just like to read this, then move on then I have no objection to that at all!
