Dear friends,

Thank you for visiting this part of our site. Please allow me to explain a little about myself.

I was born and named Derek in Ft. Lauderdale Florida on February 15, 1973. I grew up in south Florida and had a very colorful childhood.

Born an Aquarian of two Aquarians both of which were hippies in the Age of Aquarius I heard and learned much about Love.

My mother Cynthia is a hard working person and the best person I know. In high school she volunteered in hospitals to cheer up patients. In college she volunteered her time with migrate worker programs.

Today my mother is an original founder of the post offices food for families food drive. With much opposition and threats of being fired she continued along with many other wonderful people to build what is now the largest food drive in the USA. Way to go mom!

My Father Robert “Buffalo Bob” (not from Howdy Doody) was very adventurous and always took us to exotic locations. He instilled on me respect for all mankind, regardless of race culture or religion. “Never look down on anyone we are all equal” he would tell me. Thanks Dad for teaching me such important values.

Both hippies they were a part of a big push into our current movement of one world living in peace. The hippies “originally a derogatory term as was Christians” brought only Peace and Love.

Many were beaten, jailed, and even killed. Never in US history has so much effort been put into stopping a movement, including serious propaganda and assassinations, just as with Jesus and His followers, and many other peace movements. Let us always remember the martyrs of Peace. Let us always thank the Father for these people who give themselves unselfishly so that we may live in Peace.

Everyone says they want a better world but what does that mean? What is a better world? Is a better world possible?

A better world would be one in which everyone regardless of race, language, nationality, education, wealth, gender was free. Free medical, free education, free to move throughout the world God gave them unrestricted by physical, geological, social, economical, mental, educational man-made borders or limitations. Not one person doing without. We can have this, and so much more! But only through unifying in Love.

When governments are saying build walls and strengthen borders I am telling you build bridges and open doors, this is the way to a better world.

OUR MEXICAN OUTREACH PROGRAM

Some years ago I was sitting in front of my house when I felt a voice inside told me to move to Mexico. I didn’t know why but felt this impression on my soul.

I never thought about living in Mexico before. Things were great in south Florida. I had my own business making a good living. Why give up all and move some third world country. I am not a religious man but I have always known there was something more to life but never knew what that was.

I have always sought the Truth visiting churches, temples, dojos and sacred lands. I’ve spoken with shaman, and wise men, taken journeys and have witnessed ceremonies. I traveled throughout this world seeking the truth with pure intentions. Always faithful that “if you seek you shall find”

I have learned to listen to that little voice inside. I made the choice to give up all and go.

I started out by teaching English in Veracruz to help poorly educated people get better jobs. With the help of my then partner and eternal friend Daniel Schwelgin we rented and renovated an abandoned building doing everything ourselves. We designed educational programs, built desks and book shelves, bought used computers, taught the classes, and even helped students find jobs.

I now use a brown 1986 Toyota 4 runner to transport food and supplies from the U.S. to impoverished Mexico. I live in the border town of Matamoros, Mexico with my wife Ivonne, Son Angel and daughter Cynthia. We run our first outreach center built entirely by local volunteers.

Love your neighbor as you love yourself” - Jesus of Nazareth

Mexico is our closest neighbor in need. We have open borders and descent roadways most locations can be reached easily by 4x4 truck or boat. Transportation between U.S. and Mexico is quite simple and inexpensive with proper planning.

There are serious socio-economic problems leading to starvation and disease of certain groups within Mexico which we have the power to stop.

The conditions of most villages and suburbs in Mexico are deplorable

Sub-standard housing, many without bathrooms, running water, waste removal, or drainage is commonplace. Most living in shacks uneducated and dying from disease and starvation. Drinking water taken from wells is parasite, and bacteria infested. Outside the tourist regions of Mexico poverty and disease is severe.

You love yourself and would never want these conditions for yourself, and these truly are our neighbors.

These are a beautiful people who are an open inviting hospitable people in need of our help.

Facts about our neighbors to the south.

Population: 106,202,903 (July 2005 estimate) OVER 50% lives below the poverty line.

Minimum Wage Gov. Set: equivalent to approx $4.50 per 12 hour shift

Many people cannot afford nutritious food so they generally eat corn tortillas sometimes some beans and a chili pepper. They drink and bathe in unsanitary parasite and bacteria infested water.

Many children cannot afford to go to school. Many are working doing many hazardous things to eat. Clothes are rags and many families have no shoes.

Mexico is a rich county: Oil, agriculture, tourism, minerals, forests etc. But the majority of people live below poverty line many dying of starvation and disease.

Big Businesses love Mexico just like it is. They have a poor neighbor to south slaving to build products that make them rich with safe open pipelines of transportation to the World, including the largest consumer of goods North America.

Many countries including the U.S. have huge factories and ports in Mexico because of the low minimum wage in Mexico. Some Factories pay $40 a week and have lines of people down the street waiting for work. Directly exploiting the people, doing nothing to raise the standard of living for their workers and pollute the land their workers live in. There is very little if zero control over pollution and factory waste in Mexico. It is very cheap and easy to run a factory in Mexico.

Our Vision is to help usher in a new era in human advancement through integration. Through Sustainable Design and the proper integration of micro and macro systems the current Universal system may be steered into a positive, prosperous, system of abundance, and peace. A system where these basic needs are sustainable and shared by all humankind.

1.    Sufficient Clean Water

2.    Abundant Nutritious Food

3.    Comfortable Affordable Shelter

4.    Moral Social Interaction

5.    Safe Secure Surroundings

6.    Higher Practical Education

7.    Unbound Spiritual Exploration

8.    Encouraged Self-Expression

Sustainable Design is the solution and is practical and implementable now.

We do not go to feed the hungry or pity the impoverished this does not eliminate poverty nor is it maintainable. However we teach them to teach others how to feed themselves and others. We do this through sharing Love with them through our programs so that they may know and understand Love, so they may share Love with others. Doing for others what Love has done for them. Thus creating a more beautiful, more educated, more enlightened world.

"Give a Man a Fish, Feed Him For a Day. Teach a Man to Fish, Feed Him For a Lifetime" - Lao Tzu

This is an effort to bring together inventors, visionaries, innovative engineers, builders and volunteers to create homes, and communities. We hope to provide free job training, free education, free medical, modern agricultural, and food production training, water purification, waste water recovery and drainage programs.

Through the practical application of methods proven throughout the world we will create a planned eco-village in the in the coastal mountains of Western Mexico. We will create social structures which foster solidarity, cooperation, meaningful human interaction, and dedication to taking care of the earth's natural systems which are necessary for humans and all life.

We will promote these values and techniques through education, outreach, and by setting a good example. We will perform outreach in the form of workshops and classes on sustainable living skills such as alternative building techniques, Permaculture, rainwater harvesting, grey-water recycling, solar, hydro and wind power, as well as a host of other sustainable skills, arts, and crafts.

We are a small group of ordinary people, from various walks of life such as businessmen, secretaries, artisans, health workers, etc; that try to be aware of the state of humanity and the earth, and are concerned that the current lifestyle we all enjoy may not be sustainable or even desirable. We are looking for a more harmonious fulfilling lifestyle that can be lived while still preparing for even major earth changes.

We have chosen an area that is within 72 hours by car on highway from almost anywhere in North or Central America. Then accessible by hidden trail into a high mountain valley over 5000 feet above sea level, surrounded by higher peaks yet only 15 miles from the ocean. It is hidden in dense jungle, Intermingled with farmland.

Our location was chosen for being far superior to any other location in North America. Elevation, distance from sea, distance from Equator, distance from fault lines, past cycles of vegetation, were all taken into account. This area has always remained fertile.

We are building a private, self-sustaining, spiritual community with its own local economy. Designed as a template for our future civilization, it will contain all the elements necessary to build a new and better world. This will be a testament to our love of God, our fellow man, and our respect for the planet.

Above ground we are building earth-bag eco-domes of capable of comfortably accommodating 4 adults but are easily expandable to accommodate more. Basic units will consist of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom equipped with shower and washbasin, and basic kitchen. Units will be powered by a local onsite grid using solar, hydro and, aero derived electricity.

Below each eco-dome is a strong High Altitude Building (HAB). These will be made to withstand very harsh conditions. We plan to use the HABs to stockpile food, and supplies. (NOT GUNS) The HABs may also be used as short term accommodation if necessary.

Integrating Perma-culture, Multi-trophic Aquaculture, sustainable Architecture and innovative design we will build a completely self-sufficient, sustainable, ecologically friendly human habitat that produces abundant surplus with multiple outlets.

This eco-village with a maximum of 150 homes will generate revenue through agriculture, aquaculture, crafts and local services.

We calculate the farm could accommodate up to 350 permanent residents MAXIMUM in harmonious and sustainable conditions. However the region can sustain many similar villages should this one be successful and if there is need.

This is part of a long term global program by many people and many very similar organizations working towards our shared vision to end human suffering through Love. There are many great organizations out there doing the same thing as us, and we consider them a part of us and us a part of them, however G.I.A.H. Internacional A.C. is not directly or in-directly affiliated with any specific group, religion, organization or other “separational affiliation”.

Please e-mail me for any comments or advice. Also I am always available if you need someone to talk to or have a special need.

God Bless you all.

Aquarian Derek
