You know, I keep trying to come up with a "BIO", a way to get artists and prospective business clients to help in my cause to promote music. To find work, students, andto do it in a way that builds character and confidence. To give a message other than sex, drugs, and rock and roll. To not only help myself, but to help others in their causes, in their dreams, and in their hopes, because they are many, and their causes are GREAT!
“And yes, that means you”.
I’ve spent some years on the road with various bands, and I’ve lived in more places than I can remember. So this is my attempt to let you know me.
I am a Musician, but if you on my myspace page and have your speakers on you know that already, if not come to www.myspace.com/daviddriftwood .
Where I grew up? A mix of Kansas “born”, Indiana where sister nephew, and niece reside, Iowa where aunts uncles old school family comes from and resides, grandparents lived and died there, and then?? There is me, The Black sheep. A mix of different towns in Wisconson, Oregon, Washington, California, Virginia, Florida, and finally sort of landed in Texas. So at that, the road is my favorite place to be. I feel most at home when I’m somewhere else.
I’m a student / teacher. What do I teach? Usually starting with the music, for “common ground”, and progressing to writing, technique, composition, attitude, appearance, promotion, believing in your self, and ultimately the helping of others by becoming teachers, and shareing what you know and your experiences.

I’m very proud to be involved in the MIC program.
(“Making It Count” formed by Garry King and Scott Hodges.)
An organization dedicated to teaching youngsters the values of life threw positive roll models and music. Showing that Responsibility, Reliability, and Respect, are the tools that it will take to make it in the music business, and anything else you want in life.
All geared towards giving motivation for a better start in life.
I truly believe it can make a difference for young people and anyone else who becomes involved either by participation, sponsorship, or just going and enjoying the truly great musicianship and positive message.”
Please go check them out, say hi to Garry, and tell him David Driftwood sent you.
Well this is me, it’s true and real. It’s who I am and what I stand for.
I am available for students, session work, writing projects, and touring gigs if I’m not on the road right now.
This is a hard one. Hmmm, "pause"... A friend of mine recently told me “I’m a loner who hates to be alone.” Me? I think I’m cool. Level headed. No drama. I can look back and say “I’ve grown.” That means a lot to me.
Really, Treat others the way you want to be treated. Show respect, be on time, and NEVER! stomp on others dreams...
What Gives Me Hope
You never know where hope is going to come from. Just remember, you get what you give.

Really, there’s too much food on the planet for anyone to be hungry. We have the technology to end pollution. Care more for people and less for money. I’d give the sports players a pay cut, and the teachers a pay raise. Make corporate share with the little guy. We’ve forgotten the basics...
What/who changed my life and why
My x wife Michelle. Bless her heart, because she made me realize that we can still become more even when we're losing all we have. (Man, you guys are gettin heavy on here. I just want to play my guitar':)
When it comes to Sound Culture, we have to consider not only the sounds we create or we hear, but also the sounds of which we are not conscious, or which we think
we do not or cannot hear. Sounds of the past, sounds of the future, sounds in our memories and dreams - all these kinds of sounds should be
included. Keiko Torigoe of the Sacred Heart University in Tokyo.
Sound vs Silence = Music?
(Jan 14)
Most seem to look at music, or what they would consider, “good music” as a personal way of saying who they are or wha...
