I finally learned to stand up for myself and stop letting others put me down for my beliefs and desires to make a differance. When my teenager was in juvenile detention and there was severe abuse by a certain guard towards numerous kids there, I went to the newspaper, state senate, congress state police and local police. I received threats, but in the end, several children were placed elsewhere after receiving medical help and this guard was, along with others, brought up on charges and incarcerated. My family feared for my safety! I FEARED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY SON AND OTHERS LOCKED UP IN THIS FACILITY! Other parents admitted they were scared to make "noise" while their child was in there. I stood alone in my fight and saved children.
My Philosophy We each have but one life to live. We have the ultimate choice to make on how we a differance. We can be doers and go getters or we can sit around and cry about why life isnt the way we want it to be. Stand up firmly for your beliefs even if noone stands with you.
What Gives Me Hope My children and the fact that I am born again, I know that I will always have Jesus on my side
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Make stricter laws/impose stricter/swifter punishments for sex offenders and impose strict laws prohibiting cruelty to animals, women and children
What/who changed my life and why Passion of the Christ...because this is reality.
