I'm a student, dog chaser, cat wrangler, animal charmer, janitor, and the go to person for "everything." Well, I currently attend Auburn University, where I'm working towards a degree in veterinary pathology. I've about 80% sure that's what I want to do. It's one of the downsides to being interested in so many different things. And soaking up so much of the knowledge in the world doesn't help the situation. I do see myself working at creating things to help animals and possibly humans. I've got two minors in mind: nuclear medicine and animal behavior. On the flip side, I'm a worker. I spend most of my days as a kennel assistant. They always "borrow" me. I'm happy to lend a helping hand because I believe in whatever you send out you get back. When I do get time to be myself, I like spending time with my family. I enjoy photography. I love being able to help others see the world in a different perspective with my pictures. I would like to get into painting. I have the supplies; I just don't have the motivation/time to do it. I love learning. My brain is a sponge, which physics has sent through the shredder and pieced back together. I think I like my brain this way; I've noticed more randomness from myself.. I love volunteering and donating blood. It means a lot more since my grandmother has passed from cancer.
I was in speech correctional classes from grades k-2. It might have been through the fourth grade. I don't remember, though. It was a long time ago. :D
My Philosophy
Time's to precious to be doing things that you don't want to do and miss out on the things that you want to do.
What Gives Me Hope
Knowing that each day I'm one step closer to my goals.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
cut down on college costs. The country prefers people with higher education, but the costs keep rising. The more educated people out in the country, the closer the country is to finding solutions to "problems." Having them work towards alternative energy would be great!
What/who changed my life and why
The event that changed my life was being hired at the vet clinic. I met my best friend there. I can feel such a big change in my personality. I'm still quiet, but I'm definitely more open. Working there, I've seen death. Death changes people even if it's someone's animal that's suffering. To hold the dog while it's dying is life changing.
"For me, it's important to be in balance. To not let fear get in the way of things, to not worry so much about protecting yourself all the time."--John Frusciante
