If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
What/who changed my life and why
The event that changed my life is when I became vegan. I made the decision to become vegan in a flat second a year and 4 months ago after inadvertently reading something on the internet about the ways animals are treated in factory farming. The results of that decision changed almost every aspect of my life.
I initially lost weight even though that was not the reason I made the decision. I now look at animals in a whole new way and realize that even if they do not communicate the way I do that they still can convey that they have senses and feelings. Eating in this manner has prompted me to learn to try different fruits, vegetables and recipes that before I would not have had the willingness to do and I realized there were a lot of foods that I thought I didn't like but I really did! My body feels so much better now and I have so much more energy than I did before.
I feel great about making the unselfish decision to become vegan. I think it has been my ultimate way to give and show love, peace and compassion to the world around meeven if everyone may not understand ityetï¿&f rac12;. ; )
