Married, thirty years, (Ron) We have aa female Barraband (Tiki) and have a small private bird sanctuary where we live in New Zealand. Many Tuis, bellbirds, waxeyes and some Kereru fly into our garden to feast on honey water, fruit or bread and bathe in our bird baths. this year, '08 the Tuis and bellbirds chose to stay in the garden to breed, rather than leave the area and return to their traditional breeding grounds. The young are very tame and we believe they have had an extra clutch. at this time, we are using 20 litres of nectar replacement a day and with the return of the colder weather that is likely to increase considerably. We are taking advantage of donated fruit by freezing the nectar.
We live in faith and are rich in blessings. Although retired, we are always busy.
