The best course is to reject at once the first incitement to anger, to resist even its small beginnings, and to take pains to avoid falling into anger. ...Seneca
What Gives Me Hope
And as, in sparkling majesty, a star
Gilds the bright summit of some gloomy cloud;
Brightening the half veil'd face of heaven afar:
So, when dark thoughts my boding spirit shroud,
Sweet Hope, celestial influence round me shed,
Waving thy silver pinions o'er my head!
To Hope

What/who changed my life and why
My dog Spirit has begun barks with American and European book publishers for a record book deal. Spirit's ankle eye view of Nashville, to be entitled "Sniffs & Squats: My Life With Ticks", will go behind the scenes of Nashville's dog world.
Among the book's highlights: Spirit's dramatic escape from her backyard prison into a world of rats, coyotes and illegals. Living on discarded french fries, Spirit lives with a toothless Chihuahua named Muta who had her vocal cords removed by one of the Judds. Spirit chews and barks for Muta who regains her self-esteem and is rescued and adopted by a Church Of Christ minister out on bond for stealing wallets from gym lockers.
The book ends with Spirit joining a twelve paw program and sniffing the butts of newcomers.
