My Philosophy
Open your heart. Free your mind. Spread your wings.....and fly!
What Gives Me Hope
acts of kindness, increased public awareness of the many ways that animals are abused....from animal companions, to animal fur being used for senseless fashion crimes, to the never ending horrendous and unnecessary experiments performed on these innocent creatures, to the incredibly inhumane process of factory farming resulting in pain and suffering for the animals, not to mention how sick and diseased animal flesh that has been filled with antibiotics and hormones, then irradiated, placed in bright shiny packaging is sold to the public for human consumption. it gives me hope when someone wakes up, and sets out to do something about it!
stricter penalties for animal abusers give me hope.
my beloved kitty, gives me hope to greet the day, and rush out to watch the butterflies and hummingbirds and the quail and lizards and frogs, and everything is new and fresh.....and she reminds me to be quiet and meditate, or leap with joy over absolutely nothing in particular….. and to laugh and play. because she has dealt with kidney renal failure for three years, she gives me hope and courage as i deal with my own chronic illness. hey, a new flower that has bloomed in the garden gives me hope. making new friends on care2 gives me hope. Indeed there is a lot to be thankful for! : )
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by

What/who changed my life and why
patricia hearst and the S.L.A. taught me that the strongest really do survive. mentally, spiritually, and physically. and my vedanta (spiritual) teacher, Swami Dayananda, who showed me that i am free.
