August 9, 2006 -

Well, I haven't written in a long time, but a lot has happened since April 12!

For instance, I returned back to Edmonton from Hinton, but not 2 weeks later I was boarded on a plane for Israel (May 9). I stayed until June 5 and had the time of my life. I met amazing people, visited stunning historical and cultural sites (both Jewish and Arab), and I swear I'd live there for the food alone! If you really want the best pita n hummous in all of Israel (and believe me, many vie for the title), I tried Akko, Abu Ghosh and Jaffa and Abou Hassan's in Jaffa far outweighs the rest!

While I was gone my Grandfather passed away, at the age of 81. It's been strange and I don't feel like I properly mourned his death. I actually extended my trip rather than shortened it.

I am now working full-time at a Secular Jewish Day camp, as asst. Director. It's a lot of work but it's also fun, except a camp bunny passed away yesterday and I am feeling guilty since it was a preventable death.

Come fall I begin my last semester of university and then it's GRADUATION! Booyaa!
