Back in 1997, I took a trip with some friends to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. We hiked to the top of Mt. Chocura (3,490' - all day hike). As we approached the summit, my exhausted legs gave out on me. I simply could not but one foot in front of the other anymore. I told my friends to continue on without me and I watched them reaching the summit. As I saw them climbing to the top, I knew that I had to do this. This opportunity was going to pass me by and I just had to do it. I mustered up the energy to continue and I forced my legs and feet to finish the final ascent. The view was spectacular, like nothing I had ever seen or witnessed before - making the hours I spent laying in a bathtub with epsom salts afterwards all worthwhile. No regrets!

What/who changed my life and why
The event that changed my life is getting pregnant with my daughter because I was headed in a bad direction in life. Her prescence in my life has made me the person that I am today. Because of her, I want to be a better person EVERY day.
