About Me	My name is Tina. I am a mommy to Macy and Jared. I am a stay at home, work from home Mom. I enjoy movies, music, reading, relaxing and most of all spending time with my kids. My little girl has cerebral palsy so I also enjoy working with charities that benefit children like her. The Shriner's have been a blessing to all of us. There work is really close to my heart. I no longer have a lot of time to do anything hands on with any orgs but when I can, I try to help with causes such as these. I am so pleased to have found a group such as this and appreciate you taking the time to read and get to know more about me. I sincerely appreciate all who take the time to try and help others. I have had some very discouraging and even devestating times in my life and found it very difficult to find the support that I needed. We have lost our home and all our possesions to a fire a few years back. We have had many heartwrenching health problems with my little girl and have been drowned with tragedy after tragedy. During these times, I have needed so much support and I mean emotionally, financially and in my daughter's case physically and have had nowhere to turn. From what I am understanding only the few moments on this site, this is a place to not only meet people who have been in similar situations, receive advice and resources to find the support you need but to build friendships and have emotional support with people who truly care. This means more to many of us than you can imagine. Being limited to the house more than normal for me has been hard. During this time I have not had one friend to interact with that understands my situation and I can honestly say that it has been the lonliest and most desperate point in my life. There has been more tears than happiness in my life and I have had noone with which to talk to. When you are in this situation, a simple act of listening and sharing words of encouragement mean so much. I am so glad to see that there are still people who care for others out there. I am ready to meet anyone needing a friend to talk to or to share your problems with. If you ever need someone who understands and does not judge, please contact me. I don't have much in the way to help but I do have a good heart and a willing ear lol Thanks to everyone who is involved with this site. I know it may not seem like it sometimes but you are making a big difference in the lives of others. Please let me know how I can help.

Wild Fact About Me	I was drawn to working with challenged children in college. I friend asked that I volunteer with her at a disabled childrens center. It must have been my calling and the Lord must have been preparing me, because he blessed me with a precious angel who has Cerebral Palsy. Had I not been called to work with these children, I don't think I woud have been able to give my little girl th care she deserved. The Lord does work in mysterious ways!
My Philosophy	Life is too short! Live life to the fullest! Enjoy each and every day with the people you love and so not take it for granted. They may not be there when you blink your eye. Be kind, caring and compassionate towards all as one day, it will come back to you when you truly need it.
What Gives Me Hope	This site, all the people involved and others like them! This is just an amazing site and the people involved are nothing short of angels!
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by	This is a tough one. I don't think I would be very good at politics. I think I woud just do more hands on and set an example for the people I represent. I think I woud speak to people in a more informal, friendly and down to earth fashion. There is a time to be formal & conservative but there is times that I would enjoy our leaders just to be real, down to earth people not afraid to express kindness, compassion and sensitivity in speeches. It would make more people relate to them seeing them as "normal people" and want to listen. Oh, and I would lose the suits occassionally lol
What/who changed my life and why	My daughter Macy and son Jared! Macy is the biggest inspiration in my life. Despite her physical handicap, she takes on the world and there is nothing she can't accomplish. She overcomes anything she sets her mind to. She has the most amazing attitude. She is outgoing and nothing keeps her down. She has a huge heart and is passionate about so many wonderful things. My son Jared is just the most amazing boy. He has given up so much to help his sister and to help me care for her that I don't think I coud have made it without him. Although I know it has been hard for him, never once has he made me feel as if he was burdened. Both of them have hearts of gold and are kind, caring and compassionate! They are my angels!
