About Me I'm artistic, philosophical, politically conscious, analytical, encouraging, sensitive, primarily optimistic, friendly, with a sense of humor and humility. I enjoy being supportive, helpful and sharing the joys of life with another. I strive for acceptance, understanding and a sense of exploration. Currently, I'm in the beginning stages of making a career transition from ESL teacher to thermographer. I'm starting my own business and am both thrilled and anxious about this. I think energy conservation is the most immediate and crucial step the human population (primarily the developed/developing nations) can take to try to save some of the natural beauty our ancestors preserved for us, so that future generations may also be able to experience humanity's crucial bond with nature.

I dearly love animals, especially the two cats and dog who live with me. I've been a vegetarian for nearly 30 years, and am too slowly transitioning to being a vegan/localvore.

What Gives Me Hope
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by I'd get the Supreme Court 5 impeached for their, radically obscene decision to grant corporations even more power than they already have! Next, I would level the playing field for civil servant election campaigns, by implementing viable campaign finance reforms. Then I would eliminate the construct of corporate personhood and return to the system of corporate charters, so that when a corporation exhibits psychotic behaviors, the involved municipality can revoke the corporate charter when needed. Until we restrict the rampant greed of the corporate culture all other efforts will be constantly, perennially, under the threat of being undone.
