I am a singer/songwriter. yes I know I am a Muslim. I read a lot and I love watching soccer. I have a very small rose garden now, but I will slowly plant more. I have 4 adult children. one lives in USA, one in Australia and the other two live here in New Zealand.
I am a member of Amnesty International.I am starting my new life as a much loved Muslim wife to a man I adore. I spend a lot of time on my computer.I am a Muslim revert and at this point in time I am researching Muslim women and their various cultures. This includes women born to Islam and Western reverts like myself. I am interested to talk to reverts to find the reason they reverted and if they could go back would they do it all again. However I did not revert for a man. I have always believed it to be a very peaceful way of life contrary to how we are perceived overseas. I love my rose garden and I am an avid reader.
Is that if people thought less about themselves and did just 1 thing nice each day, maybe the world would become a better place.
What Gives Me Hope
The young people of today who truly want to make there lives worthwhile and are willing to stand up and be counted.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
I would make sure that all military personnel were sent back to their respective countries. The longer they stay in Iraq the higher the death toll.
What/who changed my life and why
The book that changed my life is the book Leap of Faith. Memoirs of Queen Noor of Jordan. Since she married King Hussein of Jordan she has dedicated herself to her country. She had many obstacles and she overcame them. When I said my Shahada I was given the name Noor, I am very proud to have been given that name. If I could do even 30% of what she has done for Islam and Muslim women in modern Jordan I would be content.
