This year is off to a good start but last year will be hard to top. We adopted a Dog (Wiley) from the Humane Society, took a week long sailing vacation (and classes) in the Florida Keys, had a beautiful daughter (Molly Dyann Stolt Goodman) on October 1, and moved from Florida to Everett, Washington in December. We love being back in the northern latitudes even though we were greeted by a tremendous series of snowstorms that kept us in the house for 2 weeks. It's worth it for the lovely views of mountains and Puget Sound, walks in the woods and wilds, the colors of the leaves, drives out in the country, fresh local produce... ahhh.
This year should be exciting too. We are happy to be near family, making new friends and reconnecting with old ones too. We are trying to live frugally, but may buy a small sailboat if the right one comes along... stay tuned.

What Gives Me Hope
This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on seas and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round
earth rolls. (John Muir)

What/who changed my life and why
"One", by Richard Bach. Because it taught me that there are many spiritual truths, and if you search, you will find what is important to you.
