What Gives Me Hope Not much these days.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Cut taxes in the middle and lower classes, enforce animal rights and environmental causes.
What/who changed my life and why Had to think about this and it just came to me. Back in the 70's and 80's, I attended a music teachers workshop/choral institute for 12 summers, 3 weeks each summer. It was established by one of my college profs. We took music ed. course and stayed in the dorms at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Each summer we performed with them 3-4 times. We sang large choral works such as the Verdi Requiem, Brahms Requiem, Carmina Burana, Beethoven's 9th, etc. It was a warm, wonderful experience that I wil NEVER forget. It was like summer camp for music teachers- we felt like kids again (well I did for sure!) It was discontinued in 1985 and I still think about the place and all my friends almost every day. I even have dreams about it! (Obessed or what?) I have kept in touch with several of my friends from those days, even though I haven't seen any of them in years. Strong bonds were formed. I really miss it!
