I'm a poet, a philospher, a rock n roller, a bisexual, a masochist, and all around a socially unacceptable person. I love life. I love my girlfriend. I adore music and dancing. I am an excellent debater. I always want to meet new people. But I gotta warn you, take me as I am or fuck off, because I can't change even if I wanted to.
"I don't give a damn bout my bad reputation/Never been afraid of alienation/So I don't really care if you think I'm strange/I ain't gonna change/And I'm never gonna care bout my bad reputation/Anyway."
-Joan Jett
Know thyself. The unexamined life is not worth living. If you want it done, do it yourself. We are all connected, everything is in everything else. God is the life force. Fear can't keep you safe. Life is for living. If it feels good, do it. Freedom from fear is the true freedom. We are all messiahs waiting to happen.
What Gives Me Hope
Old hippies who are STILL fighting the fight.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Take STRONG steps against global warming,
END the fucking war already,
Make gay marriage legal and gay marry my first lady,
Kill all laws against BDSM,
Make better sex ed mandatory, no religious exceptions, no wimping out "my child is to young for that...."
Take back the power that belongs to the gov't from big corporations, mostly through campaign reform and re-regulation (the opposite of de-regulation).
Kill the CIA, if they didn't kill me first. :-)
Protect the internet, and promote diversity of the media.
Act against globalization. Kill NAFTA.
There's a lot more but that's what currently springs to mind.
What/who changed my life and why
The Story Of B, by Daniel Quinn.
Because that book quite simply turns your head completely around.
There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!
