I have always been interested in environmental issues, and try in all ways to do my part on a personal level.
I am a longterm AIDS survivor, appreciative of life, nature and the little things that often tend to get overlooked.
I am faithful, faith-full, a great listener and one who appreciates similar qualities in others.
I'd rather letting others occupy the spotlight, so I can get to know them better without probing, after which we can talk about things of mutual interest.
I'm a pretty good cook; if I choose to use a cookbook, I never follow a recipe exactly.
I love (urban) flower gardening!
I had planned to learn to speak and read Italian before this summer, but too many things interfered. Would love to return to Italy - looking for potential tripmates - hint, hint!!
I ride an electric scooter when I'm not utilising mass transit!
And finally, relocating to northeastern North Carolina in early 2008; greatly looking forward to this!
that most families seem to be having fewer children - I believe in ZPG! Also, seeing even little victories at the local level on environmental issues.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
interrupting any activity which deforests our lands and mandate additional study of the ramifications of new building or harvesting.
What/who changed my life and why
Earth Day, April 22, 1970; at the time, I was scoutmaster of an inner city Boy Scout troop, and these kids had no environmental knowledge or interest before this. We all worked hard that day (and on many in the following years) to make a positive difference; hopefully many of them have retained this ethic and still follow it. I know I have!
"Was it worth it?"

I'm late , too, Wayne, for traveling across Bolivia I could not connect before; but I could not let this chance go without saying how much I admire you for your strength and love, kept under circunstances that would have brought many to defeat. You're a treasure to this world, my friend and words fail me as I try to express my wishes fo happiness and peace for you in your path to the Greater Light. May It heal us all, a day at a time, from the true diseases that so much afflict us: ignorance, selfishness and despair. And it's a privilege to have a pathfinder as N. Wayne Gowdy showing us the good way. Long live you, man! One BIG hug!
