Hello everyone... Well I am a bit late on the new year greetings, but am wishing everyone a goot one... ayeeeee... The past two years have been hard one's for me and my family, but my online family, especially here at Care2 has kept me going through good times and bad times, the prayers, the incredible outpouring of love and help has helped to keep my family intact and safe.. Yes, we lost the house after a long struggle, but we started a new life in a new home.. yes we were homeless for awhile, but even being homeless we could keep going knowing we had the prayers of all of our friends.. so we are grateful for all of you.. we have a new home now.. I have a new job, and so does husband, and after all the trouble to get health insurance I even have that once again.. So your prayers have been answered.. I know all of us are going through tough times though, each of us has to learn what we value the most and be ready to part with those things that do not matter.. things can be replaced but good friends can never be replaced.. I love all of you dearly... toksa.. until we meet again...here or there.. maybe at the next feast, pow wow or 49??? you never know...... Me and hubby and puppy.... daughter .........
I am Lakota... I live happily in two worlds, and love meeting new people, trying new things, having fun, and the side adventure or two. I love to travel with my husband and our children. If I could be anywhere I would be sitting at a pow-wow listening to some kickin drummers and watching my daughter dance. I am a good friend once I get to know a person and I will have your back through thick or thin, but I don't like liars, or betrayers, or those that are just into making frinds for the sake of having more numbers by their name. I dislike name dropping because I believe we are all equal in the sight of the Creator and we should work towards making the world a better place for our children and our children's children.
While a simple rez girl at heart I love travel... I have been to many countties and was even a foriegn exchange student to Japan! And yes, some women, including me, like fishing..lol... I will try almost anything once and enjoy finding adventures.... even in daily life which is the greatest adventure of all.
My Philosophy
Some people drink from the fountain of knowledge... others just gargle... don't gargle... drink deeply!
What Gives Me Hope
that we can all learn, and grow.... my faith and my culture, my children, my husband give me hope
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Provide everyone with an education, and greater funding for educational programs that work as well as college for those that want it.
What/who changed my life and why
Grandmother because she gave me the chance to go back to school.

I eagerly look forward to reading Joye's posts as they are always filled with wisdom, compassion and real depth. Her words have touched me on many an occasion. I feel blessed that my path has crossed with hers, even if it is strictly online.
