Technology is going green...

Take a glance at this video from ZDNET: http://news.zdnet.com/2422-13748_22-191864.html

What green really means?
These days, fostered by the great industry (the most contaminant, by the way) and the hidden economic power behind the ex-politician Al Gore, the gross media, and other manipulation agencies making propaganda, are blabbing about "the green life". On the respect, an old anecdote from my life is a very good pattern to evince the actual thing. Working for Lanier as the Facsimile equipment technical specialist, somebody asked me "In the future, computers will end the waste in paper. Don't you think?" My instant response was: "I'm more convinced that what they really will end, is the green forest!"
Take this test!
Can one person make a big difference? Absolutely, and you're doing it! From separating your recyclables to carpooling, you're well on your way to having the green lifestyle all wrapped up (in recycled paper?). But there is room for improvement, you know. Good thing you have the drive and the initiative to keep seeking out more ways to make a difference! You're probably going to be the one to start a clean air initiative in your neighborhood or to install that new low-flow toilet. Can't you see it?
But, the question: What "green" really means. And in this double sense; what does it mean really, and what green is actually meaningful.
For the second, the key of the subject, "Green" is a way of life; a "lifestyle" coming from the old populations of the world. Aborigines, Native Americans, Celtic cultures..., all of them showed a sense of integration with the Earth, the Mother Gaea concept. Their lives were committed to a tiny impact in the nature, leveling their wastes and consumption of resources with the real capabilities of the environment. This is the true concept of being "Green". Sharing the resources, and not coveting more than those the land offers. The "land", not the "world", or even the "Country". For the first judgement, the sense of Green-living is a philosophy about how we develop and perform in our lives and societies. The meaning is an effort to be more efficient, more productive, more effacing, more prone to share. I don't go against the private property. I don't trust in the communist creed, as it is the largest killer of development. But I'm an engineer, and think in terms of physics and energy. The concept of "Sustainable Development" is in fact a fallacy. If you consider all and every process in the natural world, energy is a life dynamical concept. For instance, if you consider the curve representing the available power in an engine, you climb in an almost linear path for the first two thirds of the travel. Then it bends to smaller slants to the point of maximum power. After it, all the curve steps down with regressive slopes, to finally disappear in an uncertain point, at a short distance from the apex. And you can see the same shape for almost every phenomenon in the nature, to the point that these graphs are known as "Technical curves".
Of course you've still got a few big lifestyle changes to make before you can declare yourself perfectly green, but that's okay. Who doesn't love a little challenge? Keep making your life eco-friendly — the planet needs you!
What are you?

We are weak people doing even weaker stuff. From the field of the Thermodynamics, we have the second law, or the Entropy Theorem, which states that in every closed process, the available quantity of energy is ever decreasing, or stay constant for Conservative Types. You all know, you need more force to start moving a heavy load than to keep it moving. This is the effect of the friction, and it is a non-conservative factor for the nature. Being all the things so, why on earth we think we can make the things against the Nature? If we waste the resources the Earth lends to us, we progressively have less resources to use. Hence, there is no "Steady Progress" on our current ideology about production. This is the inconspicuous fact; if we stay in our present evolution, more people eating more aliments, using petrol to move loads, illuminating their growing homes, drinking more pure water while the industry wastes increasing quantities of it, to produce the growing demand of utilities... No future, in a short term, I see. What impose over us is the "change of paradigm", the "global village" requires, while we stay confined in the surface of this little, fragile, dainty blue sphere, in the middle of an obscure system, in one dark corner of the Universe.
