Hundreds of wolves are at risk in Idaho, where in 2001 legislators passed a measure calling for the elimination of wolves "by any means necessary." The State has recently asked for permission to kill up to 75% of the wolves within the Lolo District of Clearwater National Forest and in an area where they are now protected as an endangered species. And, they want to repeat the slaughter in the Lolo District every year for the next five years.
Most unsettling is that Idaho would like to kill 3 out of 4 wolves regardless of the wolves' history of interaction with humans and livestock. That means that wolves that have never done anything to harm livestock or people could be killed.
Once hunted, trapped and poisoned to extinction in Idaho, wolves have made a remarkable recovery. An estimated 512 wolves, including 36 breeding packs, are a critical part of Idaho's ecosystems. And, contrary to anti-wolf extremists' claims, the wolves are not a significant threat to livestock or game populations.
Help us stop anti-wolf extremists and save the wolves – Urge the U.S. Fish and Wildlife to deny Idaho's request to kill wolves.
I've been kissed by a Dolphin, rode a llama, struck by lightning and lived to tell about it! I write songs about wolves and our shrinking wilderness areas. I've had the pleasure of being on a Documentary on Idahos endangered spieces singing and playing my song "Chance Encounter" while camping in Bear Valley in the Sawtooth Mts. Idaho. I filmed a music video of my song "All we'll hear is Silence" while in Yellowstone with "Defenders of Wildlfe" during one of the Northern Rocky Mt.Wolf Conferences and wrestled with 2 of the wolves from Mission:Wolf. I met and wrote a song about Koani the ambassador wolf from "Wild Sentury" for the first Annual Run For The Wolves with "The Wolf Education Center." My heart belongs to the wolf because the wolf has called my heart. I feel this misunderstood apex preator needs a human voice and they have called upon me their kindred spirit to have that voice that can not be unheard by the ears of mankind.
My Philosophy
Let the heart awaken to the profound nature of love and the love of nature.
What Gives Me Hope
Getting up everyday knowing I'm loved and appreciated know matter how much I goof up.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Close down all the oil companies and develope and utilize transportation that does not require fossil fuel and make it work. To remove all animals from the Endangered Spieces list.
What/who changed my life and why
There are several people I have met that have been a big influence in changing my life. But I'd have to say my parents were the most impressive. Plus Moon Talker aka Suzanne Asha Stone

Those Flashing, Flickering, Fire-Flies, floating about, above the green grass as the cool of the twilight sets in for the night, As the robin & woodpeckers perch soundlessly in their dreamless slumber unaware of the banquet below. In the backyard lawn looking up at the stars as they twinkle their delight to be admired once again, We stretch out lazily on the warm summers eve, counting them slowly when we realize that some are in fact those, Flashing, Flickering, Fire-Flies.
