About Me

Artist, chef, devoted mother, avid reader, active lifestyle. Strong sense of self, driven, independant, love to laugh, smile, and be creative. Known to play in the rain. I am very passionate about most everything ;).
I am inspired everyday by so many different people and experiences. I express myself through my work, in writing poetry, visually on canvas or through a photograph.
I love nature, and everything it entails. There is so much natural beauty all around us, and so many people miss out. I love finding ways to share the beauty of Nature with others.
I just turned 30, on June 30th. My golden birthday as it were. What can I say about that....I sort of look at it as a milestone. I definitely took the time to contemplate and be grateful that I have been alive for 30yrs and hope to be for 30 more. There were moments in my life that could have turned out worse, moments I should have died but miraculously survived, and moments that were humbling, great, and just ok. What matters though, is that I had those moments, and when they went sour I always told myself "It could be worse." I became who I am out of circumstance, and I took that circumstance and made it flourish into something beautiful. For me, I am grateful for a minute, a breath, a smile, even a tear. I want to feel life and step inside and out of passion and hide inside myself when I am lost. I want to live!

Nelson Mandela.
I read his story when I was a child and he changed my life in the sense that he showed what one human being could accomplish for a nation. I knew if he could accomplish his dream of a better South Africa, I could accomplish anything.
