"When despair for the world grows in me, and I wake in the night at the least sound, in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time, I rest in the grace of the world and am free."
Hmmmm...there really isn't really anything about me that is wild. I am a pretty laid back mellow person. I love time to myself in silence or with beatiful music and my baby girl.
Life is most definitely what you make of it. Waste time and you waste your life away. Find something you love and devote yourself to it. Give, don't just take. Love passionately. Have lots of fun. Be responsible. Pay your bills on time and remember that life has ups and downs and there is nothing you can do to change that. Only to learn to accept this fact and learn to be optimistic and to learn to get up, wipe yourself off and start again.
What Gives Me Hope
My daughter gives me hope. Belief in myself gives me hope and and my faith in God gives me the most hope.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
If I were Mayor, Governor or President one of the first things I would do would be to work on making sure all people had health care and education. I would also educate people on the fact that animals are no different then us in importance and enforce stronger laws to protect them.
What/who changed my life and why
The person that most changed my life was a friend of mine about 25 years ago. A young woman by the name of Sally Gin Kruthoffer. She taught me to believe in myself, to strive for the best, to not take any abuse or neglect for anyone. To not settle for "whatever." To love myself, value myself and realize that people will only see me as I see myself. Sally...if you are out there please contact me!!!
