I think Kate Winslet may have said it best in 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind': "I'm just a f'd-up girl who's looking for my own peace of mind".  My major goal in life is to leave this world a better place than when I found it *earthhug*, which means protecting the environment *treehug*, saving animals *warning1*, and helping those who can't help themselves *peace*.  I'm constantly trying to better myself, through education (whether at school or home), meditation/yoga *meditation*, and pursit of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle *recycle2*.  Of course, that doesn't mean I don't like to let loose and party every now and then! *beer*

I love nature *hiker*, especially the oceans and the beach *diver*, and like most Californians, can't get enough sun *sun*.  Also an avid animal lover, I've been known to spontaneously adopt animals in need of rescue *adoptme2*.  I've been a vegetarian for over 10 years, and greatly support vegetarianism and all its benefits (e.g. healthier than carnivorous diet, more sustainable/less impact on the planet, and no animal cruelty involved!), however, I avoid getting preachy *soapbox*, and don't discriminate against carnivores, as I do have many meat-eating friends.  After all, if there's one thing I hate, it's intolerance... in all its forms!

I love to laugh and have fun, whether that means spending a day at the beach, vegging out in front of the T.V., rocking out at a concert *rocker*, visiting a museum, or hiking up a mountain.  My writing and poetry is a very important part of my life, as is my music, and my friends... but most of all, I just wanna be me! *hippiechick*
