Welcome to my Website!

I thought this website would be a good place to try to post information and discuss issues that are important to me.

First of all, I am an ethical vegan. I do not believe that I need meat, dairy, leather, wool, or any other animal product to survive. It isn't even a hardship to do without them. Therefore if I choose to support animal businesses I am doing so simply for my pleasure, which is not a morally justifiable reason for killing someone. That includes dairy where the cow and calf are both eventually killed. That includes eggs where half the chicks are male and are "discarded." That includes buying from breeders who breed animals for profit while others are unwanted and condemned to death. That includes supporting any of the myriad other ways in which we exploit animals for our pleasure and profit. It's not morally justifiable to make other creatures slaves to our desires.
I can live without dairy, but a baby calf needs it. I can live without eggs if chicks die for them. I can live without meat and be a happier and healthier person for it. By not supporting the industry, I am making a direct difference in the lives of animals. I am living my ethics.
